Absolutely love this vacuum. It has great power, super light weight, super choices of speed power for each cleaning need. I love how easy it is to use, no more lugging out the clunky canister vac and the long hose, just pull it out of the closet and I am cleaning lickity split. Best of all, great value for the money.

We already own a Dyson V15 detect, BUT we have always had a second vacuum for quick fast clean ups. We had the prior model...now I can't think of the name...but after many years it died and is no longer made. I grew up with HOOVER vacuums so for me it's almost a sentimental thing too :) This vacuum works GREAT overall. I had seen many reviews even videos where the brush would stop if you end up going over different length carpet?.. We have had zero issues with the brush stopping be it over plush, short...or even a nice wool area rug. Brush has zero issues, and it does NOT collect hair! I wanted this Hoover mostly because it was one of the few vacuums where you can just use the suction, and turn the brush OFF over say...wood flooring. In the end...We ended up not using that feature as the brush doesn't scratch OUR wood or vinyl floors....just use the brush on low to medium power. Two things I am not thrilled about. One is the head is not really suitable for stairs. It seems connected only by plastic tubing. I did see reviews where that tubing ripped...and I would imagine if you constantly pick up this vacuum and let the heavy head part just be suspended by the plastic tubing, over tome that COULD be a weak point. Second gripe is the battery. It is NOT bad...but for such a a large looking kinda heavy battery, battery life is not GREAT but it is pretty good. We like the machine has lights as you vacuum, like that it can stand up without leaning it or using some sort of mount like the Dyson. Overall it's a very NICE vacuum...esp if maybe just suing it more for quicker clean-ups or you don't have OCD and need every millimeter cleaned. The Dyson V15 is perhaps in a diff class, but it's also very heavy and a bit of a pain to use, and twice the price.....so GO Hoover!

Aug 10, 2023 UPDATE I have had this vac since Aug. 2020. My opinion is still the same. Today I found my battery not charged. The blinking red light means defective, so is it the battery or charger? My 10 year old Hoover LiNX is still working on its orginal battery. Yes I kept it and it is still going like a young race horse compared the One Power piece of junk. The two extra batteries I ordered for the LiNX died.. so I do have to order a battery back up for the LiNX. The original can’t last for ever! Sadly I have just learn the LiNX is no longer made. Feb 2021 If this OnePower vacuum had been my first Hoover vacuum, I would never have purchased Hoover. Just for the record I have been using a Hoover Vacuum products for 70 years+. . I purchased this One Power vacuum to replace a Hoover Linx that I’ve had for about 10 years when it start dropping the dirt I had just vacuumed. Needless to say I’m extremely disappointed. I mainly have all hard surface floors with Persian hand knotted area carpets. It is not recommended to use an extremely hard suction vacuum with heavy duty beater bars on them. My Linx model worked extremely well for both the hard surface floors and the more fragile area rugs. The main area of complaint of the Onepower is when I switch to the carpet mode the beater bar starts up, but within seconds using it on the carpet theyquit turning.. So I stop and start again and the same thing again . It seem not to have the power to keeping the beater bar going on my carpets. Even tho, the carpets are no where as dense as most wall to wall carpet. The pile is extremely short. If I have the carpet mode on the hard surface floor it works fine till I move to the carpets again. I would return the damn thing, but I am outside my Amazon return period. In the meantime, I took my Linx apart and fix it and am back to using it. Just order a 2nd extra battery, the 1st extra battery isn’t lasting very long…The original is still working fine. . Had a cordless Dyson briefly, not worth the $$$. Quit starting on 2nd day, got a replacement, use it for a 1+ years starting acting up, by then discover Hoover had the cordless Linx. The other big issue for the Dyson cordless is you have to hold the on switch on the entire time you’re vacuuming. This is literally a real pain for people with arthritis!

I have tried other cordless vacuums, and this one is far superior. It is lightweight, extremely easy to use, and it's of high quality. It does well with pet fur (2 long-haired cats, 1 golden retriever puppy). It is also really easy to empty. This is actually my second time purchasing this vacuum - I had one on my wedding registry, and it was gifted to us. The hose tore on it, so we needed a new one. That may be an enduring problem with this model, but our original lasted us 2 years. The battery life is okay, but it's compatible with the same battery as the older one we had, so we have an advantage there. I really enjoy this vacuum, though.

I have owned a Dyson "corded" vacuum, and it was quite good, but I have to say that this particular "cordless" Hoover vacuum is the best purchase I have ever made. It comes with two batteries, and it takes quite a while to exhaust one battery. I rarely write reviews, and would likely not have written this one without an email request to rate product. This vacuum is worth every penny. It goes from carpeting to hard wood floors in an instant Other amazing features are that it is not noisy, it is extremely easy to detach and empty the bin & there is an indicator that lets you know status of the battery. I absolutely love this vacuum and highly recommend it. Bonnie

I've owned this vacuum cleaner for three years now and could not be happier. It has saved me countless times of having to bring out the Miele vacuum cleaner. It's powerful, easy to manoeuvre, and holds its charge quite well. I've had two Jack Russells, and this thing makes it a breeze to get the job done quickly and easily. If it dies, I'll get another one for sure; I am a customer for life.

Bought this in July and it stopped working within two weeks. They did replace it. The replacement model also stopped within a month. They’re now on the third one and it has stopped working. Do not buy this product. This is terrible. Yes they keep replacing them but they’re no darn good. If every time you go to use it, it just won’t work the roller stops working instantly very poor product. Very poor disgust it

This is a great product. Excellent suction, especially for a cordless. I have a 5 bedroom house and it takes two charges ( I have had it for less then a week so battery life will eventually change). Really easy to use. Hoovers product design team did an excellent job. Very well thought out, with user in mind. My only concern is the battery not working after 6 months as reported in other reviews. Time will tell if that will occur I suppose. In Australia we have 3 year manufacturer warranty.
