Initial thoughts are that it feels really great quality, nice and solidly built that will hold all my smd components safely because I don't want to have to pick them off the floor and sort them into the values.

Really nice storage box, very pleased and perfect for my smd components, not cheap but are worth the money, I bought three of them and one anti static version.

The case moulding is good and well finished, should last a lifetime. A few of the cell covers were not properly moulded, and their closure is not as positive as should be for the price charged. However, they are easy to use and secure enough to prevent spillage.

Lids latch solidly, each compartment can fit well over 1000 0603 components, comes with a sheet of stickers for the compartment lids. Feels well built

This box is ideal for surface mount components. I've shrunk my large mismatch pile of cut-tape passives, transistors, and voltage regulators into this single box, saving a ridiculous amount of space. It comes with labels too, which is nice, and each is just big enough to get value, tolerance, power, and footprint (e.g. 10kR 1% 250mW 0603) on each if you've got small handwriting. It'll happily hold rectangular passives up to 2010 (Imperial) size, all standard SODs and MELFs, SOT-23s and similar, plus most standard tantalum caps (possibly excluding EIA 7xxx series packages). There are more individual boxes than I know what to do with. I've got almost every kind of standard value resistor and ceramic capacitor in 0402, 0603, and 0805, some with multiple precision values, plus several less-common values (e.g. 0.005R current-sense resistors) and I've still not even filled half of it despite putting all of my common SOT-23s (NPNs, PNPs, N- and P-FETs, LDOs) and DO parts (diode, zener) in there too. It won't fit more than one aluminium electrolytic can per box, so if you're looking for a storage solution for alu/alu-poly electrolytics then look elsewhere. It's probably not too great for SOIC or similar "larger" parts either since the size of each compartment is limited.

I know that the measures are specified but when I got it, I realised that it is too small. The box is good and it is make of good materials, but it doesn't worth for electronic components as I thought.

A now deleted early review by me was intemperate and wrong. I did receive two complete boxes, and I'm very pleased with them. Quality is high and sturdy. My plan is to use it to store boardgame counters.

Moin, habe das Produkt für das gekauft, wofür es gedacht ist: Aufbewahrung von SMD Bauelementen. Nachdem 1206 so langsam schwierig wird, zu erhalten, steige ich auf 0805 um - das machen die Äuglein noch mit... Die Box insgesamt macht einen soliden Eindruck. Die Scharniere sehen so aus, als wenn sie lange halten (ordentlicher Umgang vorausgesetzt). Die einzelnen Fächer lassen sich NICHT "babyleicht" öffnen, was ich persönlich auch wichtig und richtig finde - schließlich gibt es nichts Schlimmeres, als wenn sich die Fächer von allein öffnen und unbeschriftete Bauteile wie Keramik-Kondensatoren vermischt werden... Manchmal sind die Fächer allerdings etwas schwergängig zu öffnen, ich gehe davon aus, daß sie dies bei mehrfachen Gebraucht gibt. Die Box ist von der Größe noch gut zu handhaben, wenn man sie links oder rechts neben der zu bestückenden Platine hat und sich dann mit der Pinzette die Bauteile herausholt. Es passen übrigens so bis zu 1100 Widerstände oder Kondensatoren in 0805 (Inch) Bauform in ein Fach - mehr würde ich nicht empfehlen. Zum Test habe ich jeweils 10 Fächer mit 1000 Widerständen bestückt, geschlossen und die Box aufgeklappt mal fallen lassen - kein Fach sprang auf. Auch ordentlichen Schütteln und ein Klaps von hinten (Unterseite) hielt stand. Ob das in 3 Jahren noch so ist, vermag ich nicht zu sagen, aber im Moment ist es angemessen an dem, was "professionelle" SMD Aufbewahrungssysteme kosten (das geht schnell in mehrere Hunderte), eine gute Wahl für den Hobby-Bastler. Auch wenn ich selbst nicht mit kleineren Bauelementen als 0805 hantiere, könnte ich mir vorstellen, daß 0603 oder 0402 etwas anstrengend wird, da die Fächer dann evtl. zu tief sind. Fazit: Preis-/Leistung passt. Punkt.

Diese SMD Bauteile Box ist einfach genial und qualitativ sehr hochwertig. Mit 144 Fächern können alle Norm-Widerstände der 12-Reihe verstaut werden und dann ist die Box nur halb voll, also noch Platz für 72 Kondensator-Werte.

Habe die Boxen gekauft, um endlich Ordnung in unser Institut zu bringen. Die Boxen fühlen sich hochwertig an und machen einen soliden Eindruck. Die Qualität ist ordentlich und über viele Boxen verteilt gleichmäßig gut. Nur das eine oder andere SMD Fach geht etwas schwerer oder leichter auf bzw. zu, aber alles noch in der Norm. Auch gut: auf der Hersteller-Homepage gibt es ein Sonderformat-Word Dokument, mit denen man die Labels bedrucken kann! Auch wirtschaftlich gesehen ist es eine gute Wahl. Andere Anbieter wollen ca. 60-80Ct pro Einzelbox. Das muss man mal mit 144 multiplizieren! Seit dem die Ware direkt von Amazon geliefert wird funktioniert das auch schnell und zuverlässig. Es gibt auch eine (teurere) SMD Variante für Halbleiter. Diese habe ich aber noch nicht getestet. Fazit: Wer SMD Sortimentskästen für 01-005...bis 12-06 braucht: diese kaufen!

I had an increasingly difficult to manage collection of SMD components which this organizer was perfect for. One thing I like in particular is how sturdy the lids of each cell are. There's no chance that they would open by themselves and they leave no room for even very small components (0201) to slip out when closed. Depending on the SMD size the cells can each fit dozens to thousands of components, so one organizer has replaced several cardboard boxes of plastic bags. I printed my own labels rather than write on the included ones by hand, which would have taken forever.
