Motion Pro Cable Luber V3 Tool

This works like a charm for lubing throttle cables on mowers. Very happy.

I lubricanted my throttle control cables from my Fly Bridge to the engine room. It builds up pressure forcing the cable lube into the cable. Keep your fingers on the aerosol cans plastic feed tube as pressure will pop it out. Works well very glad I bought this tool.

I love how easy it is to lubricate cables on everything from dirt bikes to lawn mowers. There’s nothing worse than dealing with a sticking or broken cable when you’re out in the woods. Keep your cables in top shape! Lubricate them regularly and avoid the unnecessary hassles!

Seems that no one can figure out a way to lube cables without creating a mess. This doesn't change the challenge. The build quality is pretty good but it is made of some plastic which worries. Compared to v2, this is a huge improvement, but more complicated and he instructions are not great. The way I understand it, you're supposed to insert the cable sleeve with the metal cap sticking out from the rubber cone but a few mm, then tightening the assembly. The weird thing about the rubber cone is that it has a split in it. I'm not sure if there's another way for them to do it without this split. Then you would insert the lube can straw in there and spray a bit. If you spray too much then it will squirt all the lube out and throw the straw somewhere across the garage. It worked once I noticed filthy lube dripping out of the bottom. It's good, but still such a hassle.

This seems like a really nice unit; well thought out, o-ring seal, cable gland seal. I have another cable luber, but it was so messy and this one seemed like it would be better so I tried it. The body is all plastic so I took care to thread it together to seal it, but it seems that after I thread the top on so far it looks kind of crooked, almost like it is cross-threaded. I took it apart several times to inspect it, and see no cross thread damage, but every time I try to put it together I only get 2 turns and it seems crooked. Then when I used the lube it was about as messy as the other luber I have, because the lube was pushing out past the o-ring and coming out the threads, maybe some out the bottom; I couldn't tell because so much was escaping the threaded area. I didn't have it on my bike thankfully, I was lubing a new cable before installing it. Not real excited about this, I was expecting better.

Works great well worth buying.
