I’ve recently started getting more into woodworking and decided to take on a clock project using reclaimed timber. I needed two large clamps to clamp the wood together during the glue up. I came across these little beauties and I couldn’t be happier. The ones I received were blue rather than the red in the picture, but that didn’t bother me as the colour isn’t important. Plus they’ll get covered in glue and crud soon enough anyway.The rear clamping plates are so easy to move up and down to the required position. I would recommend unscrewing the front clamps most of the way before you start. That way you’ve got greater tightening ability during clamping. You can really apply some decent clamping pressure with these which is handy if you’re after a good solid glued joint.So far I am extremely pleased with this product. I've got a big bookcase project coming up soon so we will see how they fair against that. I would highly recommend these if you’re after a quality clamp at a reasonable price. I’ll be adding some different sizes to my collection in the not so distant future.

Firstclass value for money and service.there maybe better named products out there but when you come down to it its a clamp and a good one at that. why pay more for no good reason, Love them. Making a table from strips of pine - these clamps did the job well

exactly what I needed, easy to use, used it to glue up a bedside table top, I probably wouldn't use them for larger items like wardrobes but ill defiantly buy the heavy duty ones, also very fast delivery!

Much lighter grade than expected and not hard-wearing. One of the adjustable sections on the clamp bent under loading. Also, the tightening bolts are small nuts tightened onto threaded rod. One of these was loose and subsequently fell off and was lost. So now I have to use a small bolt every time. Would not recommend.

Over the past couple of years I've spent more money on tools than I would care to disclose. I've literally bought dozens of woodworking tools from Amazon, and on the whole been very happy. These clamps have to be the worst that I've ever bought. Whilst they might look OK there is a major design flaw in that as soon as you start to apply any pressure the moveable head 'racks' i.e. the thread of the clamp binds on itself. So instead of the jaws coming together to clamp your workpiece the thread stops it moving at all. This is a major manufacturing flaw. I've had other clamps of this type and yes, they do sometimes bind, but these thing are shockingly bad. I guess you could possibly get them to work to a degree, but you'd need at least three hands.I'd be sending them back but for the fact that one of them felt the wrath of my frustration and ended up slightly more 'textured' than when it arrived.Seriously, do yourself a favour and avoid this tat.
