These spoons are ideal for weaning. I received a silicone spoon like this with a plate set as a gift. My baby seems to be able to feed herself well with this style, it's smaller and therefore easier to manipulate. It's also a great teether, encouraging her to put the food into her mouth, even if she's not too keen. I would very much recommend these spoons and have bought this set so I can put all the hard plastic baby spoons into storage for now. Washes well in the dishwasher. A couple did have additional silicone attached that needed to be peeled off. No damage was done to the spoons. Very good price and design.

Got these for our grandson as since teething his been not to keen on his harder solid spoons and so far these spoons have been a godsend, he will happily bite down on these and not pull back upset that he's upset his gums, they are sturdy yet soft enough to not cause him any problems when eating... Definitely worth a try
