I needed to ground my vintage shortwave radio. Put this together (took 2 minutes), put it in the ground, and the very second I hooked it up to my radio, noise gone.

Grounding portable generator

I had to strip the plug off. The wire is a very thin and flimsy silver colored wire. I've been trying to use it to ground a Shortwave Antenna but as is, it doesn't ground very well! It might if I could get the wire itself deep into the ground! Not so satisfied with this.

Used this to make my own grounding mat. Works perfectly. Nice long cord. I tell all my friends to get one.
