This Jet Line Pocket Torch lighter has a built in Flame Lock system. Push down the trigger to ignite. Slide the flame locking switch to the right and release the trigger and the flame remains lit. Continuous flame for more then 1 minute is not recommended and dangerous.

Improved Torch Lighter Still Subject To Ignition Wire Failure
This lighter is well-constructed and is a good value at two for $8. All lighters of this type suffer from two inherent design flaws:1. Must use high-quality (filtered) butane or eventually it will clog and stop working. It took me years to figure this out.2. The electronic ignition system eventually shorts out and doesn't ignite the gas. This happens within a few weeks if the flame is continuous for more than 5-10 seconds regularly.I used Colibri Premium Butane Fuel Refill for Lighter 3 Small Cans to address the first problem and it performed well. I recently switched to 12 Cans of Neon 11x Ultra Refined Butane Fuel Lighter Refill Gas , which has a lower per-unit price. In the second case, the hot flame melts the insulation on the ignition wire at the base of the torch flame. As a result, when the starter is triggered the electrical arc jumps to the metal collar surrounding the 3 brass torch tubes delivering the butane, instead of arcing to the brass tubes and igniting the butane as it was made to do.I have purchased several similar torch lighters that use a single brass torch tube and all of them succumbed to one of these two maladies. The triple torch design is an improvement. My first lighter stopped working after 2 weeks of use. I repaired it by cleaning the tip of the ignition wire and applying a small strip of electrical tape near the end, leaving he tip uncovered. This improved the electrical insulation and restored the electrical arc that lights the butane.Unfortunately, the electrical tape is prone to igniting - most electrical insulation (dielectric) materials are flammable - and I needed to apply some ashes from my wood stove to the melted tape to discourage combustion (see photo). I don't expect this repair to last long.Side note: The Bernz-O-Matic ST2200T Micro Flame Butane Torch Kit (about $25), a portable soldering torch, is the best torch lighter I've found. Mine was an impulse purchase at Lowe's and it lasted several years before developing the ignition wire problem. It has a superior ignition system which is designed to tolerate a continuous torch flame. That is why the beloved Queen Elizabeth says, "Bernz-O-Matic es el capitán de encendedores. Viva Bernz-O-Matic!", and she says it a lot.

Short-lived Torch Lighter
I purchased this lighter in July and it has since gone out by the end of September. Now I'm afraid to use the other too much. After contacting the seller I was basically told too bad the return policy is only good for 30 days. Obviously even if the return would have been granted the shipping cost would have exceeded the worth of the lighter. Poor customer service along with a poor quality lighter. Don't waste your money.

Trash
Trash. On average they light once out of every 20 tries. Can’t return them due to safety hazard.

Works well
Cheap enough to throw out if they fail, but they are working nicely for now. Would reorder.
