Review: This is awesome - It is hard to get photos of something that is basically clear, but hopefully this photo does justice to just how cool these ice cubes look. This was my first attempt and I assumed that there would be some kind of learning curve to get them right, but NOPE. Just using the simple instructions included, I got perfectly clear cubes on the first try. Dead simple and really impressive. You can see how a lot of effort went into the design. It works flawlessly. I would love to see a tray for smaller cubes at some point if possible. The big ones are great, but some smaller ones would be nice too. Review: Makes perfectly clear ice cubes. Update after 0ne year of use. - Not as easy to use as an ice tray, but not too difficult. Perfect crystal clear cubes every time. I do wish they would offer a second tray that made 1" square cubes. hint hint... After using a year, it makes perfect clear ice cubes 95% of the time. Those that aren't perfect are acceptable. One odd thing it does on occasion is one or two of the cubes will freeze taller than the other cubes giving you a clear 2" x 2 1/2" cube. Not a big deal as I usually run hot on them to get them down to size. If you follow directions, this thing works consistently. Must use hot water when filling the plastic tray. Recommend 48 hours of freezing as 24 isn't usually enough. All in all, I love it!

Sadly Fragile
Product produced excellent, clear ice cubes for 2 years. Eventually the repeated downward expansion of ice, which is by product design, stressed the plastic intermediate container too much and resulted in it fracturing at the bottom and becoming useless. I can't say I felt like I got my value for money spent in two years of use. Use wasn't too difficult; it is slightly larger than a half-gallon tub of icecream so you do need some room in your freezer. The silicone mold frustratingly got stuck in the plastic intermediate container, once again due to ice expansion, but some warm water and patience resolved this.

Works well!
Takes one or two tries to get your technique just right, but overall it’s a simple process and genuinely creates beautiful, clear ice cubes. A bit expensive for what it is, but comparable to other kits out there.

Price Is Only an Issue in the Absence of Quality
Want to up your cocktail game? Here’s your ticket. If your freezer can accommodate the dimensions, this delivers a “just-the-right size, clear-enough -to-read-through” ice cube. Worth the price? Sure, if you care about presentation. It’s a fraction the cost of a high-priced commercial or home version machine. Two additional comments: I had a glitch and contacted the company. These people were unbelievably nice, efficient AND accommodating. (How often do you get to say that?) Definitely one of my best customer service experiences. Ever. Also, don’t let that block of ice in the reservoir below the silicon tray go to waste! Use a mallet to break it into smaller pieces - also gorgeous in your glass. A fantastic gift for your fave home bartender - (although I learned about this product at a VERY toney inn). ps Try to stick to the suggested freeze time - don’t forget you have a batch of fresh ice cubes waiting for you. I keep the extras in a ziplock gallon bag and run the cubes briefly under water before adding to glass (if needed) to bring back the sparkle.

It worked until it broke
The product makes ice pretty much as it says. I don't get perfectly clear ice, but it's close. I do get the occasional runaway cube that keeps growing. I follow the instructions. The product was not abused or dropped. But, I went to use it today, and the plastic water basin had split along the bottom seam and it won't hold water now. The product is now useless. It's very disappointing to pay this much for a product only to have it break a few months in. You can see where the other side is also about to crack.

Works as it should
Love this and will buy more for gifts! The ice that is made is clear and as big as 4 regular cubes. One cube in a Rocks glass is wonderful and it melts much slower that many small cubes. It takes a little patience to get the hang of the procedures and it does take time. I opt them out of the container, put the big cubes in a gallon size plastic bag for the freezer and then set up a new batch so I never run out.

Great product, works well, totally clear ice is really cool...
Really cool product. Pretty easy to use (recommend watching the tutorial videos on the website clearice.rocks for best use). Really fun to watch the completely transparent ice disappear into a tumbler of rye. Product feels well-made and solid. I'll be grabbing a few more as gifts, maybe with some of the other molds / shapes. OnTheRocks - Crystal-Clear Ice Cube Maker, Make 2 Inch Clear Cubes at Home
