I have an old PC (Studio XPS) and when I saw this memory being sold so cheaply I couldn't resist trying to upgrade its existing 8GB memory. The motherboard manual suggested that 16GB in 4x4GB modules was the maximum upgrade possible but after some research which suggested that 8GB modules would work I decided to buy these 2x8GB modules. I left the previous 2x2gb modules in place. The computer booted up without problem and has been running perfectly for several weeks, somewhat faster and no crashes. . This is an excellent cost effective upgrade as I now have 20GB memory instead of 8GB. These are very good, stable cost effective memory modules and I highly recommend them.

The Timetec Hynix IC DDR3 PC3-10600 Non ECC Unbuffered 1.35V/1.5V Dual Rank 240 Pin UDIMM fits in our old Dell Vostro W7P desktop with G41 chipset, and allows the machine to happily run 8GB of RAM despite Dell originally saying it could only handle 4GB. There was a noticeable speed increase going from 3GB to 8GB, mainly because of the great reduction in hard-disk use for overflow-memory swapping. A RAM test took ages, but showed no faults. I had also made sure the BIOS was the most recent. The key point is that this 4GB RAM is DUAL RANK, with 16 chips on the DIMM card. The more usual 8 chip 4GB DIMMs will not work in the G41 motherboards. This makes it slightly more expensive than 8 chip DIMMs, but it is much cheaper than buying a new computer with all the hassle of W10. As with all ESD sensitive components, take care not to touch the contacts on the card and make sure oneself is earthed to the metalwork of the unplugged equipment. It is also well worth giving the insides of the old computer a careful, gentle vacuum!

Admittedly, I was double minded because I hadn't heard of the make Timetec. Also, I was concerned about compatibility with my motherboard because I've only used Crucial branded RAM for my PC which currently had 8 GB RAM installed. However, having Googled Timetec and watched some Youtube reviews, my mind was at some ease although not fully satisfied. Having said that, once I replaced my original with now 16GB of Timetec RAM......I'm so glad I did!!! My PC running on both Win 10 & Win 7 (dual boot) picked up the new installed hardware with NO issues whatsoever. Applications are running much more smoothly and system appears to be much faster! Timetec Hynix RAM is definitely money well spent and much cheaper compared to the branded makes!

Brilliant product, came next day and works an absolute dream!

Runs at advertised speeds. (Tried a 'mild' overclock out of curiosity and they remained stable). So far I have put a pair of these on a board with a pair of Samsung dimms and a pair of Crucial dimms and they got along fine in dual channel mode. For the past 6 weeks I have used them for a test rig for a NAS build using a ZFS file system (i know, I should use EEC memory for that) and they have worked flawlessly under stress test loads.

Look, I'll get straight to the point, you want extra ram? I installed this within 15 seconds powered up pc and currently playing games. No hassle, easy to install, price is just right as long as you don't need fancy casing over the sticks this will be right up your street.

This very easy to install , at first wasn't sure if I had sent for the correct card . After I removed the hard drive I could see where they slotted in , all quite easy in the end only took 5 minutes and they only fit one way . I have noticed quite a difference when using the computer , no lag when surfing the internet and apps react quickly , given new zeal to my computer.
