Good Value and easy to use
Having been diagnosed as diabetic by Hospital consultant, when seen for an unrelated issue, thought it would be sensible to test my blood sugars before finally getting my GP to take an interest. Found this monitor easy to us and results reasonably accurate and consistent. Within the limits of any home testing Blood Glucose monitor. For reviews that criticise the brand and claim to be unable to find replacement testing strips and lancets read the listing. It states "The meter just accepts Safe Accu2 strips", which is the name of the Sinocare branded testing strips. The branding on the carry case is Sinocare, the manufacturer and part no. on the listing is Sinocare, the manufacturers label on the back of the monitor state the manufacturer as Sinocare and the kit looks identical to the Sinocare Safe Accu2 kit. I am now using Sinocare Safe Accu2 test strips with no problem. Monitor Blood sugars every morning and results are consistent, only ever had one strange low reading, but probably used insufficient blood or a faulty test strip, retested and result OK. Would guess if you have diabetes to the extent that you need insulin or blood sugars can go dangerously low you would be supplied or recommended a blood Glucose monitor by your doctor as the only instrument to truly trust. Any uncalibrated home testing device should only ever be used as a guide.

Good value and easy to use
This is a simple device to use however, sometimes the strips don't always register a reading which can be frustrating.

What an amazing must have unit !!
I was diagnosed back in November last year with pre diabetes, so to keep a check on my blood sugar levels I purchased this monitoring unit. It is so easy to use. Everything in the box, including the box itself is perfectly sealed, clean and hygienic. Instructions are very simple and easy to understand. The needle applicator just gives you a small indication that it’s pricked your finger, it honestly doesn’t hurt. It has been an absolute godsend and just after 2 months I’ve reversed my pre diabetes. I will always continue to check regularly from now on to make sure I never receive that diagnosis again ! If you find yourself in the same position as me, this blood monitor is an absolute must buy !! Highly Recommended.

Value for money
The case is compact and can fit easily into a hand bag, easy to use with good instructions, gives a reading in 10 seconds, excellent value for money. Great readings to alter amount of medication that may be required. Works well, very smart case and discreet.

Seriously avoid this one
With Amazon often a lot of the products we find are much cheaper in the store but in times it can be in fact the opposite. For whatever reason the price blood glucose monitors are inflated on here, £20 in a pharmacy or supermarket can get you a decent quality one but on here this is the cheapest and lowest quality. The product definitely reflects the price point. Unlike others it doesn't give you error codes and force you to waste additional test strips to get a reading which is good but unfortunately the readings are just simply no good. This gave me so much anxiety giving me readings of “Lo” which I believe is defined as <1.2mmol/L in which case I should of probably been in a coma and other low readings such as 1.8 etc, I would test again a few moments later and it would give me a normal reading. Some anomalies are to be expected with these machines as they’re quite cheap and basic so if I need to test I do tend to test like 3X in one go to take away the average as often you can get some very different results when theoretically there should be no change but it’s just how often this monitor gives bad results, it was giving me these low results on the daily causing me distress making me rush off to hospital, down sugar which would then actually lead to my blood glucose being unstable and real lows. The bag, look of the machine, the set up, use of the product, the speed it provides results are all good however none of this really matters if the actual product is not fit for purpose which I believe is the case.
