Other than a tender spot from zoning out and a bit of figuring out angles its easy and pretty comfortable to use. Would benifit from a longer handled version and maybe a cover as it's pretty sharp and so needs to be stored in its box. So very effective, not too harsh or messy. 1st round with shortish soak in water, worked well stopped the skin being so rough and catching on stuff, a week later i did a (cheap) foot mask was more effective, and less messy sitting on the bath rinsing the file in the sink.

I love this file to the extent I started to wonder why I hesitated for so long to buy it. I have arthritis in my knees so can't lift my legs very high so the longer length of this file is an absolute winner for me. So I used it on my feet for the first time and immediately felt the difference, no callous's no cracked skin on heels and no weird knobbly bits of skin on my little piggies. Very easy and gentle to use, small movements seem best for me rather than going at them like a piece of hard cheese. Both feet were good to go in under 10 mins. I slapped on a bit of skin moisturizer on each foot and off I went. I would recommend this file it has now very quickly become part of my routine twice a week, and my feet look and feel great 😃 The file doesn't feel that sharp but trust me it works, I was amazed how quickly the rough skin came off, just a quick rinse under the hot tap to get the skin off the file and that's it really. One other point for those like me that have arthritis in their hands, it's very light weight and feels more like a hairbrush in your hand grip wise.
