I was a little hesitant to spend this much on a set of tires, but I'm now convinced it was well worth the extra cash. My Trek came with a set of Bontrager tires and they worked pretty good. However, these tires are way better in two ways. - They transfer way less vibrations and bumps through the bike. One of my usual routes takes me along a river levee and the concrete is really rough and there's a lot of big gaps between slabs at certain parts. I was surprised how much smoother it was going over these sections despite pumping the tires up to max PSI. - The grip on these tires is insane. There's a lot of steep mountain roads around where I live and I feel so much more connected when cornering at high speed. And yes, they're a pain to put on the first time, but with hopefully with the additional puncture protection its not something I'll have to do very often.

I've been riding Conti for a long time, but this is my first pair of the 5000 AS TR. This is the first pair of Conti tires I have had an issue with in all that time, but I don't usually buy them off Amazon. One tire had a flaw where the tire was likely seemed and had a significant hop in the tire. I honestly don't know if it was there originally and I didn't see/feel it or it happened after some period of time. I also got less than 800 miles out of the rear tire, which seems low to me. I don't know the exact milage because I share these on one gravel bike but I know that I only have 1200 miles on the bike total and I largely use it with the gravel wheels/tires. Yes the price was a bit cheaper than other online vendors but I'm not going to buy these tires from Amazon anymore as I question if they are not counterfeit now and I have limit return options.

Heavy workout for your hands and arms. Probably need to start taking protein or something, and in a couple months I will manage to put them on. I'll add durability stats then. So far only managed to install 1 out of 2, using all the tricks in the box.
