Perfect for decorative use!
These shelves are perfect for small, decorative needs! The colors are nice, and the coloring details vary a bit from shelf to shelf, which adds to that kind of “rustic” look. They are very lightweight, but once they’re installed, they are perfectly sturdy. You do have to add the brackets to the shelves yourself, which is kind of a pain because nothing is marked so you have to measure and really make sure they’re straight, BUT on the other hand, it’s nice because you can put the brackets closer to the inside or outside, depending on what look you want. I looked through the review images to decide how I wanted them! I do recommend drilling shallow pilot holes first, especially if you put the brackets toward the outside. I made a small crack in the first one I tried without a pilot hole, but it’s not really visible, thankfully! Definitely check dimensions because they are not very big, but again, great for smaller decorative needs. We used them in the old bathroom in our recently redone basement. We didn’t redo the bathroom so we added some nice touches to make it look better without a full renovation. The shelves were perfect for that purpose! I also bought the white but haven’t installed yet. They are not a bright solid white, they’re a thorough whitewash kind of? You can see the wood grain is what I’m trying to say! I included a picture of them next to our solid white tv stand.

Look and work great
I bought these shelves to hold cat nonsense above the litter box (litter deodorizer, litter bags, cat treats, catnip spray etc). The wood doesn't feel super sturdy, but because I wasn't putting heavy stuff on it, I didn't really worry about it. Aesthetically, they're pretty cute, but I wish I'd installed them small to large, centered, instead of offsetting the shelves and sizes. I think because it's hidden in a small cubby next to a cabinet, the artsy thing didn't really work in the space. But that's just my opinion (I tried to arrange them like the photos on Amazon). Now for the fun part, installation. If...and please pay attention, because this is VERY important...IF you have lath and plaster walls, IMMEDIATELY go and buy sturdy screws. These strip incredibly easily...like in a split second. If you have drywall, like normal people should, you'll be fine with what's provided. I'm a pretty handy chick, and installation should seriously have taken only ten minutes, but, because I have a crappy old house with plaster, it took over an hour. I did have outside forces interrupting me, like my cat knocking everything off of my desk, including my tools, a shelf and phone, several injuries (burned the bejeezus out of my fingers on a hot drill bit, after trying to force it to get the screw into the wall, and I may or may not have taken a little tumble off of the ladder too). There was also lots of walking around screaming obscenities--apologies to my neighbors. Because I was too impatient to drive to the store to get better screws, I literally screwed them in using needle nose pliers. Once they were up, like I said, they looked great, I'm just sharing the ridiculous challenges for those who might have plaster walls. Overall I would recommend these for small bits and pieces, the sizes were perfect for me and I would buy them again. :)

Nice
I recently purchased the Love-KANKEI Floating Shelves Wall Mounted Set of 3, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed with the quality and aesthetic appeal of this product. This 3-piece set has quickly become a focal point in my office, adding a touch of sophistication to the space. FYI I only needed to use two of the shelves not three of them. One of the standout features of these floating shelves is how effortless they were to install. It took me no more than 20 minutes to mount all three shelves securely on the wall. The package included clear instructions and all the necessary hardware, making the installation process smooth and hassle-free. Even for someone with limited handyman skills like myself, the setup was a breeze. The shelves themselves are sturdy and well-crafted, capable of supporting various items without any signs of sagging or instability. Their sleek design and clean lines make them suitable for a wide range of decorative styles, be it modern, minimalist, or even rustic. Before purchasing these shelves, I would recommend considering the placement and the items you intend to display. With a little forethought, you can transform these shelves into a stunning exhibit for your cherished books, potted plants, picture frames, or any other accent pieces you wish to highlight. The possibilities are endless, and the shelves provide the perfect backdrop for adding a personal touch to any room. Overall, the Love-KANKEI Floating Shelves Wall Mounted Set of 3 is an excellent investment for those seeking a stylish and practical storage solution. Its easy installation, durable construction, and versatile design make it a standout choice. I would highly recommend this set to anyone looking to enhance their space with a touch of elegance.

Really surprising quality - easy to modify!
Paulownia wood is a REALLY clever idea for these shelves. It's relatively very strong (I would never expect these shelves to sag in the middle) and it weighs NOTHING. it's uncanny, almost like balsa wood. But it's a pretty well known wood for construction where weight matters a lot as well as strength. As for the shelves, they are quite small, but not so small as to be unusable. You won't be putting big things on them, but they also have a party trick - at only 4 inches deep, you can literally just buy a plank of nice dimensional 1/2 inch by 4 inch hardwood and make these as long as you want (more than 18-24 inches and I'd start adding extra brackets to prevent the wood from sagging) but I noticed that some beautiful planks of mahogany I had fit perfectly, so I'm buying more of these just to make some more custom sized shelves. As for putting them together, the wood isn't pre-drilled, but this stuff is easy as heck to screw the supplied screws into, and the side benefit is that you can adjust the "look" by in-setting them. The first set I did, I put all of the brackets inboard (not screwed in at the absolute edge) by two centimeters. it looked great on the longer shelf, good on the middle, and too much on the short. So if you like the "little bit of wood overhanging" look, I would recommend 2 centimeters for the long shelf, 1.5 for the mid, and 1 centimeter for the short. The "relative" look should be great. As for mounting, couldn't be easier. Drill a hole (I forget the size, but it's a bit smaller than 1/4 inch) and insert the anchor, gently tap it flush with a hammer (I just used a piece of the cardboard box between the hammer and the wall to avoid marring it) and screw in the long screws. A word of warning though, the screws are typical horrible Chinesium (I do not understand why everything seems to come with such bad hardware when good screws would add like five cents to the product) and while they do the job just fine for the wall anchors, were I wanted one of these shelves lined up with a stud. I could quite literally feel the screw itself TWISTING in the wood as I drove it in. The shelves are not meant for heavy objects and I only put my framed diploma on the largest shelf, so I'm not worried about it coming loose. The only quality control I didn't like, which doesn't really matter, is the spot weld on the bottom of the bracket holding the whole thing together looks kind of cheap. Again, it's barely visible if at all, and you'll NEVER notice unless you're looking straight at it from six inches away, but if I had to nitpick, that's my sole complaint. And if you plan on driving these into studs, get a pack of 1.5 inch #8 or #10 pan-head screws from the hardware store. I was genuinely worried I might shear that screw while driving it in. Overall though, outrageous value for money, and these look and feel very, very nice. I am ordering two more as we speak (and checking out the rest of this brand's shelving that has the same style. It's nice they have different kinds of shelves that use the same style, will be really cool for the variety if the quality for them is just as nice.)

Good but frustrating
I bought these shelves looking for an inexpensive, differently sized group of shelves. They are real wood. Brackets are nice, screws are sufficient. I stripped a screw but that's because I'm aggravated with trying to put it together. There are no pre drilled holes to mount the brackets to the wood. So.... Definitely need a power tool or the persevere to use a screwdriver. I would recommend marking the holes for the brackets and drilling a pilot hole. I didn't and regret it and ready to hulk smash everything. If you drill holes first, it's fantastic. However, if you don't have those tools available it may make you want to break stuff :) It has been frustrating and I imagine if the brackets are straight, it will be even more frustrating mounting them to the wall. Overall, nice shelves, but pilot holes are necessary.

Love these little shelves!
I was looking for a shelving system to hold VHS tapes behind a door, but with only 5” of ground clearance I realized I needed to go with wall-mounted shelving. There are SO MANY options and it took me a while to find these but I’m VERY happy with them. They’re exactly the depth I needed and the multiple widths allowed me to arrange them in a more visually interesting way (I used four sets of shelves). Installation couldn’t have been easier - this paulownia wood is soft but strong. No need to pre-drill holes, a firm push was all I needed to get each nail started and then they screwed in smoothly. The metal brackets are flexible enough that, if you do end up with something a little out of place, you can probably bend the metal to accommodate. I had 12 shelves put together and mounted in just a couple hours, painless process. And I gotta say I think this paulownia wood is really cool - I’d never seen the stuff before, but I’m not a fan of MDF so it was cool to discover this lightweight hardwood as an affordable alternative. Highly recommended!!
