Why did you choose this product over others?: Fantastic product at great price. I used 2 coats on a large door frame made of bare wood. It covered any knots and imperfections well. Used it on some pine skirting that had knots showing through the paintwork. One coat, no more visible knots, will definitely use again.

I bought this to cover knots that were seeping through the paint inside our summerhouse. Despite two coats of this and several coats of white paint they are still visible, though mainly textured shadows, not the yellowy sap colour as it was before. The paint smells very strongly so you want as much ventilation as possible. I found it to be quite thin and runny compared to other primers so you need to be careful to protect floors and other surfaces.

Good value for money

I brought this to prime and knot block all my door frames and skirting boards as all fresh woodwork after a renovation. As a cleaner I see lots of people's houses where this has not been applied and orange rings form as the wood is still alive, I've learnt from others errors.

Good but funny smell

A little strong on the odour but covers well and after applying the top coats to a painted pine wood floor there has been no evidence of any resin stains so far. Seals the wood OK but does need the two coats recommended. A little thin tbh, but does the job.
