Good quality sharp drill bits made in the USA. They did the job really well.

Good quality drill bits, handy for removal of a snapped bolt in a car engine, being a left handed thread. Cobalt can be brittle, but with care it did the job nicely for me and I used a drilling and cutting oil.

Correct use in slow speed reverse and the 5/32 bit died on first day of use. Took the remnants out of the chuck to inspect and "made in Brazil" have I just paid over the odds for a knock off?

Nothing is worse than snapping a bolt off, no matter what situation you're in. Bolt extractors work occasionally, but more often than not, they make the problem even worse! Fortunately, left handed drill bits are less prone to breaking and do a fair job of removing stuck bolts! These Irwin left handed drill bits are good and sharp, and they are good quality as well! They have already saved my butt a couple of times, ultimately making for a good day when leaving the shop! Highly recommend using these bits if you're a mechanic. Great to have in the 'Emergency Use Only' tool kit!

These are my favorite drill bits. Punch through mild steel with little effort and a little cutting fluid. A tip was shared by a machinist friend. Take a grinder and knock off the mill scale where you want to drill. Saves the bit and makes drilling much easier.
