Bought this for my Sur Ron since I didn't want to mess with the wiring to put a tail light on there so this was the perfect solution. The turn signals aren't too visible so I wouldn't rely on them but the tail light itself and the lasers that are projected onto the ground are super bright and look pretty cool. The remote to control the lights are easy to mount onto the bars but the rubber band isn't tight or grippy enough. The remote moves around every time you press a button so I don't even bother trying to use the signals. I mainly got it for the tail light since the stock light that came on the Sur Ron isn't too bright. I feel 100x's more visible to cars with this tail light. I've only had it for a month and so far so good. I've used it for 6 hours straight and the battery hasn't died. As for the mounting options, it's really going to depend on your bike. I got lucky because I was able to clamp this onto the stock license plate mount on my Sur Ron. All in all, not a bad purchase. Only time will tell how long these lights will hold up. If all goes well, I'll be buying more for my other bikes and maybe even my motorcycle.

You need this light! If you’re looking at this product this is a must have! Super bright. Super effective. The remote works awesome! Everything about this light is a must have for your bike. You will not be disappointed. The value for this light is definitely 100% worth it. Amazing product.

MEILAN X5 works as indicated in the users manual, but installation is a whole other matter. Having a bike rack with a sizable bag on top, would have obscured it all going with the general approach! So I opted to install a light weight pipe (0.5" diameter, 2" length) at the end of bike rack and connect X5 to that instead. The folks at MEILAN should cover all the possible bases for their X5 for today's bike commuters.

This was a great find. Used it on a Tuttio. Installed by removing the seat and drilling two holes in the subframe crossbar. The mount that is included for this light bolted right in very cleanly. Easy to charge without removing off bike.

This tale light is just a phenomenon. Easy to install. Different modes are out of this world and not to mention the side lasers. I bought this for my new eBike. But wait for the best part. The remote was damaged during shipping. I opened a support case thru their website. I immediately received an extremely friendly response from Tina from MEILAN's Client Server Team requesting my Order# from Amazon along with my Shipping address. I sent Tina a copy of the Amazon Invoice. Next immediate email indicated that the remote had been shipped. No run around or questions asked. This is what I call the VIP customer Service experience. I am a huge admirer of great customer support and service. So, MEILAN has it all. I am going to buy more stuff from them. I highly recommend this company to all my fellow riders eBike or not.

It isn't the brightest tail light I've owned but it's visible in the daytime, except for the laser, it has to be pitch black for that one to be visible, the material quality is subpar but its been holding fine for about a week now, it feels like I'm gonna break the holding bracket every time I remove the light so I try to be super careful, I also added a tiny bit of grease so it slides in and out a bit easier(I use the seat bracket not the shaft one); The battery dies after 2 days of use and my commute is only 9-12 minutes each way but I'm not too worried about that since I'll be replacing the battery with one I have from HohmTech which has a much higher capacity and output. It has indication LEDs on the remote which tell you what mode you're on which is super useful except for the turning blinkers, it kind of makes you think your turn signal is on even when its not(you press once and the blinkers turn on, you press a second time and the blinkers turn off but the remote indicator stays blinking). Even with all the negative things about it I still feel quite happy with the functionality I get from it considering how much I paid for this.

Just installed it today on my road bike and took two trips during the day and night. In the first ride, i couldn't get ANY light to work and I didn't have time to read the manual. Still haven't read it, but I realized that none of the lights work during the day without blocking the sensor! This is a bit surprising. A tape solved the problem, but I wish there was a way to override the sensor. I also wish there is a turn signal without the red lights moving slowly in the direction of the blink. It may be confusing as it is not a standard blinking pattern. I installed the button in the middle on my road bike. It is not easy to reach in a hurry. It works for well planned turns. There is no good place for it close to the brake levers. I tried the stop, and the light changes pattern. Also not a standard pattern, it just goes crazy blinking red and yellow. I don't understand why the most obvious mode is not supported: blinking or reduced led normally. Strong solid red upon stopping. Strong blinking on one side only when turning. The unit is a bit wobbly because of the removable sliding connection. Hopefully it will last. Still inclined to give a full rating, because it seems to do the job well at a good price in a presentable package, with a wireless remote.
