Good stand for my MacBook Pro
I haven't had a stand for my MacBook Pro before. I did a quick tour of previous reviews of different stands. I liked the look of this stand and I thought it would do the job. I found some mixed reviews of it mainly due to the quality of finish of the product but decided that I'd risk it. I figured that any small blemish wouldn't be the end of the world. I'm glad I bought this. The finish is fine and there are no finishing flaws. It holds my computer well and does what I need to to do. I think it looks more elegant than some other stands. I have it in its maximum height but that works fine for my 13 inch computer. You will need a remote keyboard as you can't type properly when it is on the stand and the stand will probably not take the repeated pressure of the MacBook being typed upon.

Great-looking stand with good grip
I was a little apprehensive about buying this, having seen a number of negative comments around the grip of the stand—but really liked the look and small desktop footprint (takes up less space than an angled riser) so decided to give it a go anyway. I have experienced no slip at all with my 13" MacBook Air, having left it on the stand overnight to find it in the same place as I had left it. The non-slip tread on the stand has a lot of grip and is even slightly tacky to the touch (in a good way). I'm not sure if Twelve South have updated the material used here or if people have been using it upside-down by mistake (the laptop goes on the "V"). Visually, it gives the impression of a floating MacBook when the laptop is in place—really good to have an accessory that minimises desk clutter rather than add to it. The only minor issue I found is that the adjustable column is fairly stiff when moving the stand up and down, and has a cheap "springy" feel (not as smooth as I would anticipate). However, as I will not be adjusting the height on a regular basis, it's not a dealbreaker for me.

Looks nice on paper, not in reality
Poor quality. I received my stand with scratches although the box and package were not damaged. The stand wasn't even straight, leaning on its left side by a couple of degrees (seems small but you definitely see it). Oh and yes you can adjust the height, and maybe it's not made to change often but I wouldn't any way because of the sound and the quality feel. I wouldn't want to risk breaking it. I sent it back and I'm going for another one. Poor experience. Only the box was nice...

Excellent Macbook stand
This is a neat and functional Macbook stand. It looks great on my desk and helps bring it up to height next to an external monitor. I've put mine at max-height and haven't adjusted it since but the initial adjustment was easy. I have had no issues with the laptop sliding off (Retina Macbook 13"). I am using a bluetooth Apple keyboard & mouse. Would recommend to others.

Extremely overpriced
For the price you'd expect the best dock out there. The truth is that it doesn't offer any improvements over most cheaper docks, and while it looks decent, the build quality isn't up to standard. My particular unit wobbles quite considerably and the height mechanism is incredibly stiff.

Helps with cooling mac, looks fantastic and is well made. Expensive but worth every penny.
Really smart product which compliments the style of the Macbook. I purchased this because a colleagues mac was overheating due to having two monitors plugged into it all day long when he was in the office. The stand has a heatsink style material on top of it to draw heat away from the mac in a very strategic position. Also, because there is limited contact around the base of the mac it allows air to circulate nicely around the base of the machine which also helps with cooling. This was definitely a good investment; a smart and well made product.

Sturdy, well made but expensive
This is a superbly made stand. Very sturdy and supports my 16in Mac really well. There are a couple of additions from the previous version that improve it considerably. The returns on the arms now stop the computer slipping off as it did previously and allow much better location. The rubber is thick and non marking and stop any scratching to the base. The stand is however very expensive, even though its well made. The new addition of a Magsafe charging pad is totally pointless, adding cost and although great in theory, is nearly inaccessible with a laptop on top! It also, for the money, does not include the magsafe charger, so you have to spend another £35 for that. The Magsafe does not really work that well either. If you have a case on the phone, it struggles to align having to go through the case and the rubber! Bit of a mixed bag really!!!

Not worth the price tag…
Badly mad. Not worth £80. Cool design with the Mag Safe inclusion - which works perfectly. But the whole item is quite wobbly and stiff to use? Expected better for this price and something Apple officially endorsed.
