Lovely!
In this weather in my attic studio they are very soft - like lip stick. Perhaps I will put them in the fridge. What I find them useful for is colouring and highlighting paintings. It is going to be a problem if I want a picture framed as I have read that they never dry so there will have to be a space between the painting and the glass. I think I am going to use them a lot. As soon as I opened them I realised I should have bought a bigger box - could do with another green. So go for a bigger box!

First time I was using oil pastels. First picture is on paper with POSCA acrylic 15mm pen. Pomegranate was painted with acrylic and then applied oil pastels for glow. Portrait is done purely with oil pastels. I had to apply acryl coat so it would not smudge. I hope this will be of use to you. Recommended!

You shouldn’t need me to tell you that these are, without argument, the best oil pastels available. Senneliers and Picasso invented them so you really can’t expect any less. These are not value brand items, but they are worth the money - I will be buying again as long as I live. They are like an entirely different category as far as use goes - smooth, buttery texture that is insanely fun to glide across paper. They blend like poetry and music blend to make lyrics. They are intimidating but easy to use with a little practice. So far I haven’t smeared anything but I could see how easy it could be for them to smear.

These oil pastels are definitely the best of the best and are creamy smooth. I have a set of Mungyos as well. I like the color choices but after having a set of 72 Mungyos, I got spoiled by the colors and buying this set with less colors is an adjustment. I'm new to oil pastel and find the Senneliers more of a challenge because they are so soft and I end up having issues with smearing. And I use a piece of paper under my hand. But these are light years ahead of the rest. I like using my Mungyos along with these which allow me to put under layers with my other pastels and finishing with these.

Awesome pastels, I've always used these terrible craypas oil pastels that were student quality, but these are just wonderful and awesome! I bought these to give oil pastels a second chance since student quality pastels give soo much people bad impressions of this art media, but these are wonderful! It's also nice to have bragging rights on your art supplies because these are probably the finest oil pastels around, and because Pablo Picasso himself had requested these oil pastels to be created...essentially... I'm not entirely sure about the whole story...but yeah, these pastels are very interesting/ awesome indeed.
