Kinivo Premium 301BN High speed HDMI switch with IR wireless remote and UK plug - supports 3D, 1080p (301BN - 3 Port)

I had initially purchased 2 other HDMI splitters. Following are the products: 1. http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0020426AG/ Duronic HDS3 Mini 3 Port Gold HDMI Auto Switch PIANO BLACK 3x1 (3 way input 1 output HDMI Switcher) It was very small, cute and worked. Auto-switched and everything for a size that small was amazing. However, when I connected my PS3, there was interference and the picture kept flickering which was very annoying. For £9.99 it would have been an awesome buy if it just worked. 2. http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00DZIXJAM/ CSL - HDMI Switch 3D Ready / Full HD 1080p - flexible 3 port switch | 3 x IN / 1 x OUT | Dolby True HD / intelligent switch- automatic and manual switch This is a horrible purchase. It just didn't output anything and my monitor kept saying that there was in input feed at all. Tried all combinations of my laptop / ps3 / pc. It did recognize the inputs and the lights were automatically switching, but just no output whatsoever. ----- Thanks to Amazon's amazing customer service, I returned both. I purchased the 3 port high speed HDMI is just amazing. I think this just works because it is externally powered and hence no interference. It is slightly expensive at £21.99, but you pay for quality. It auto-switches and detects inputs. When the devices are on standby, the input lights go off indicating that there is no input. When all inputs are off, it switches off the output signal as well and the output light also goes off. I don't write many reviews, but just had to write for this one!!!

My TV monitor only has one HDMI input and I wanted to be able to use it both for my computer and my TV set top box without having to plug/unplug the cables all the time to switch between the two. The Kinivo HDMI switch does the job very well, and there is no (visible) loss of quality, as is the case with some other devices. I only need two input ports but it features three, so if you have three sources that you would like to connect to the same display using HDMI, it's possible. In any case, to further avoid quality problems, I recommend using good quality HDMI cables - they do make a difference. It comes with a remote control that allows you to select the input source directly (1, 2, or 3), up/down buttons, which do the same thing and are a bit redundant and a Memory button which I haven't used so far but I assume it is used to store your preferred input source. The usable range is pretty limited so you must be really close to the device for the remote to work (approx. 1-1.5m). The device is also capable of auto-switching, which to me is a minus, I don't want it to auto-switch to my TV whenever my PC goes into sleep mode. To prevent that, I have to either disable auto sleep mode for my PC (not an option) or to turn off the TV set top box - since it will not detect an alternate active source, it won't switch to it. There is no way of disabling the auto-switch feature, or at least I haven't found any. Also, the device doesn't have a power switch, so to turn it off, you'd have to unplug it. Otherwise, it's a very capable little device, solidly built, that doesn't take much space on my desk and does the job I bought it for, without paying the premium price of some other similar devices. I would have rated it 5 stars if there were a way to disable auto-switching and if the remote's usable range were longer. If you need such a device and you're not bothered by those aspects, look no further, this is it.

This device drove me mad. Every time I touched a button on my TV's remote control this HDMI switch took it upon itself to change channels from whatever device I was watching to some other irrelevant and undesired setting. I tried messing around designating different devices for the various channels but to no avail, until one night I'd had enough and threw it across the room, whereupon it bounced off a door into the kitchen. At which point I really do have to pay tribute to the build quality which is is truly excellent - several hard stamps from a boot on a hard kitchen floor failed to destroy it. In fact it took several blows from a heavy bricklayers' lump hammer to finally put it away completely. I got the impression it would have lasted forever which makes me glad I got rid of it when I did. Life's too short to put up with dysfunctional devices like this one. By the way I've replaced it with an AUKEY bidirectional HDMI switch which has purely manual switching and stays resolutely on the channel you set it at – result!

Works flawlessly, had it for a few months now and never had a problem. Would highly recommend it and for the price it is an amazing value. I would recommend this for anyone that needs 3 HDMI inputs to their TV or for anyone that's lazy like me to flick through the Video Source button on your TV to get to the source you want. Pros: + Easy set up + IR Remote to switch between active devices + Auto switches between devices when you turn one on or off + No degradation of video quality + Does not heat up Cons: - Has a bright blue power light that is always on (another blue light for current input as well); You could just black tape over the light if it is annoying. Does light up a room a night. - No mounting screw holes; Device is lighter than my HDMI cable so it slides to the edge of the stand. Could easily fix by double sided taping it down I currently have one input to my PVR, one to my PS3 and one to my Laptop. There is a precedence for the inputs, so which one you plug in matters. For example, my PS3 has the highest precedence then laptop then PVR. If I have my PS3 on it will not switch to any of the other inputs. I could switch it manually with the switch button on the unit or the remote if I want, but I use my PS3 for Netflix, so I don't want the tv to switch to another input if I accidentally turn on my laptop or my PVR. I use a wireless keyboard/mouse for the laptop and putting it to sleep turns off the video input and it would switch back to TV. The IR for the remote is a plus because I was easily able to program my Logitech universal remote to control the HDMI switch, so I can use one remote to control all my devices.

Solución ideal si tienes varios dispositivos en el salón o en cualquier parte de casa y tan sólo tienes una o pocas entradas HDMI en el monitor, tv o proyector. Al ser autoalimentado, la pérdida de señal es apenas inapreciable (si nos ponemos sibaritas, y hacemos una medición de pérdida de calidad en la señal quizá saquemos conclusiones, pero para un uso normal y casero yo no he notado pérdida ninguna a simple vista). El mando es ligero, pequeño y delgado, con un diseño superminimalista justo con las funciones para lo que está diseñado. Hay un detalle que me encanta, y es que cuando enciendes un dispositivo enchufado a una de las entradas, se cambia la señal automaticamente. Por ejemplo, si tienes conectada la xbox y enciendes el tdt, el conmutador automáticamente cambia la señal al TDT. Es un pequeño detalle que rezuma comodidad, ya que ni te tienes que molestar en cambiar la señal con el mando. Yo lo tengo puesto a una xbox, a la gráfica de un pc y a un TDT HD para un proyector EPSON (para un monitor PC con una sola entrada HDMI es ideal también) y en un par de meses de uso va perfecto. Por poner algún pero, el alimentador es americano, pero viene con su adaptador europeo, tampoco es gran problema. Compra más que recomendable. El envío en perfecto estado y rapidísimo, como casi todo con Amazon.

Arrivé rapidement, impeccablement emballé. Mis en place en moins de 5 minutes, immédiatement fonctionnel. J'ai acheté ce produit parce que la télécommande de mon téléviseur est particulièrement pénible à utiliser pour changer de "source". Là, j'ai tout branché sur la même entrée (lecteur BlueRay, décodeur SFR HD, récepteur satellites HD) et je peux passer en un instant de l'un à l'autre grâce à la mini télécommande (j'ai apprécié que sa pile soit incluse). Aucun problème de compatibilité : les 3 sources donnent une image et un son impeccables. Penser cependant à avoir ou acheter un bon câble HDMI (HD et éventuellement compatible Ethernet) pour le relier au téléviseur. Très bon produit, je recommande !

Personalmente lo uso con un monitor asus riuscendo a collegare pc ps3 comodamente. Ovviamente è utilizzabile con tutti i dispositivi hdmi. Nella confezione è presente, oltre al dispositivo, anche un comodo telecomando che utilizza una pila "a bottone" (quelle piatte) già inclusa ed un alimentare (il dispositivo necessita di alimentazione). Dato il prezzo contenuto nella confezione non sono presenti cavi hdmi aggiunti, è necessario ricordarsi di prenderli a parte :) :) Lo switch da un canale ad un altro impiega circa 5-6 secondi, non immediato ma più che adeguato per ogni utilizzo.

Salve a tutti, il prodotto si merita cinque stelle perché e di ottima qualità sia di materiale che di funzionamento, nella scatola troverete l'alimentatore e il telecomando per passare da una postazione all'altra, in caso di pila scarica funziona anche il tasto sulla parte frontale del Kinivo. Ci sono delle spie che segnalano sia l'accensione del Kinivo sia le porte in funzione, io lo uso per due PC, un PC con scheda video alimentata a parte e un secondo pc "MOLTO DATATO" con scheda video alimentata dalla scheda madre, tempo di risposta nello SWITCH e di circa 2 secondi scarsi, nel mio caso nel secondo PC "forse perché LA SCHEDA VIDEO e vecchiotta" ho dovuto impostare un minuto di sospensione per il video in modo di dargli l'input quando passo al secondo, un "consiglio" se vi serve per usare vari PC acquistate un prodotto che abbia l'alimentatore perché le schede video non riescono ad alimentare lo SWITCH ,comunque sono molto soddisfatto perché così posso adoperare due PC con uno schermo, secondo il mio giudizio ritengo valido questo prodotto,dunque lo consiglio, ultima cosa.... un ringraziamento per la serietà di Amazon e corrieri. Spero di essere stato di aiuto per altri utenti che cercano un prodotto valido.
