Great kit
This was a fabulous kit to make. Tamiya really do provide kits with excellent detail. The instructions were very clear. Some parts are very fiddly, for example lamp covers, so a good pair of tweezers is recommended. I decided to add weathering. I referred to a photo of a Sherman allocated to the Polish tank brigade that fought in the Falaise area.

Quality kit, interesting to build.
Used for display. Bought and built a pair of the Easy 8 hvss Sherman tanks. Usual quality Tamiya model. Everything fits together, no gaps but the hull and the base are a tight fit together. A bit of careful easing together is needed. Currently one of these tanks someone has bought off me, so I have had to buy again lol. Nice tank definitely can recommend this kit. Some small fiddly bits to glue, but most certainly better quality, easier to build than the 'Fury' Italeri kit of the same type of Sherman.

Great kit to build
Great kit to build. It loses 1 star because the decals are rubbish, and the rear lower hull pieces could fit a little more accurately to allow the top hull to sit correctly at the end of the build. Pieces are moulded well, with no flash, although some seam lines need cleaning up.

Easy peasy "Easy Eight"!
It's Tamiya, its a tank, its a Sherman M4 "Easy Eight" and it's a fantastic kit. I had no problems in assembling this despite its relatively high (to me anyway) parts count. There are some small fiddly parts for the turret and along the hull but nothing a but of time and patience won't cure, oh and probably a decent pair of tweezers! Don't get me wrong, I'm not an established tank builder, this is the 4th I have built since coming back to the hobby after a 30+ year lay off! Hopefully the photos will inspire some more people to have a bash and see how they get on. It's nice to be back. Nice on Tamiya.

Good quality products
Typical Tamiya model kit, easy ti find your pieces, except for plastic caps which I missed when trying to find them (small bag with small blag pieces these are important). The instructions are good but double and triple check that you are assembling correctly as it can be easy to misread. Used Amazon pick up cabinet and it was easy and convenient.

Another top quality model from a top manufacturer and sold ...
Another top quality model from a top manufacturer and sold by a top retailer. I haven't started to build it yet as it only arrived today, the quality is tops as are all models from Tamiya. The only downside I found with this model is there is no information on the use and development, mostly all the German models have some information on the full scale version. The reason I bought this model is to go with another Tamiya model of the American tank transporter, the 'Dragon Waggon' which I am expecting shortly.

Great Easy Eight to build
Great Easy Eight to build. Lower hull can be completed in several minutes (will paint later) HVSS only has 3 parts to be glued excluding wheels but is still very detailed. I had a few setbacks as I lost part L26 and A26 during build, been searching for several days just found them both so I can continue with building, otherwise the whole kit shouldn't take long to build. Other features of the kit: Turret cupola has clear parts. Rear deflector is movable, usual Tamiya US tank tools (spade etc), glueable type tracks. Decals provided are various sized stars, separate lower hull fenders (so no gaping hole). Biggest disappointment this kit does not provide a gun breech or front hull machine gun (not even a simple one) so one has to consider to whether to have turret covers open or closed (haven't decided yet, but I may take gun breech from an old Italeri M4 Sherman). No figures included except a half body commander. Overall I would say it is a good Easy Eight as can't compare it to any of the other Easy Eight, but as a build it is still easier and better than the Academy M51 Super Sherman which also has the HVSS

I bought this for my 14 year old son and this is his review: Even though I have very little experience with modeling (3rd model overall, 2nd tank), I have so much to say! This model was super fun to put together and with a little bit of prior practice with a similar model should prep you for this. It was a lot less challenging than I thought—so beginners like me, don’t be intimidated! I’d say the hardest part is probably applying the turret and frontal decals; they get very finicky and I had to weather them more than I would’ve wanted to. And speaking of weathering, it’s actually quite easy and you’ll get it quick. This is a super-detailed model for how beginner-friendly I found it to be, with all the small parts (be careful, I nearly lost several parts!) Some other advice and side notes: if you’re using Tamiya paints and/or super-thin cement like those depicted in the picture, WEAR A MASK. Or have a fan or whatnot, because that stuff is stinky! I also suggest having each and every thing in the picture w/ all the tools for the best result, but is not necessary. The 2-inch Lego figure is for clarity of the size of the model. Nothing in the picture containing my paints and tools is included. The paint job I did was actually quite different from the company’s original; I did a weathered desert while they wanted an urban-ish olive drab. Without breaks from other things, it should take a solid few days, but that depends. All in all, great model and I can’t wait for any other models from Tamiya that I can come across. I hope this review was helpful!

As my second model ever, and my second one from Tamiya, I can happily say it didn’t disappoint. Building it felt like a smooth journey from start to finish. The pieces fit together perfectly, and the manual provides very detailed, beginner-friendly instructions that are practically foolproof. While the price might not be the most budget-friendly, it's absolutely worth every cent. I was genuinely surprised by how great the final result looked, especially considering I have little to no prior experience. The photos of the model are after it's being built , without any paint or stickers on it. I love Tamiya and can wholeheartedly recommend their kits to anyone, from complete beginners to experienced modelers.

Order this model twice because of how much I love it. The model itself is outstanding quality and extremely fun to build! The parts fit together brilliantly and I have had no issues with the model at all. Delivery has been quick both times I ordered and I can't wait to build it again! If you're a fan of the hobby this kit is a must.
