This workout timer seemed quite good when I first received it. As many have pointed out the ease of set up is not great. It is not at all intuitive, and you will definitely need to read the instructions in order to set the timers. And if you want to change the timer settings- you will need to re-read the instructions again as they are not at all intuitive or logical. My main issue is however the durability. The first few weeks it worked as expected, then the battery would die within 2 days, and I had to basically recharge it after every workout. After 2 months it would not even turn on again, even when plugged in and charging the timer will not turn on. So completely useless and a waste of money, in the garbage it goes. Do not buy.

It did not come with instructions, so it's pretty much impossible to figure out..

Really like this timer although the instructions could be better. After assistance from my PT therapist, I was able to program it to my PT routines. Nice, large display and internal magnet is great.

EDIT: I'm so thrilled, I found a way to have only the beep, and omit the crazy creepy voice!!!! I thought my clients could just watch their own timer, and not have the sound, but after getting them conditioned for so long to the beep on the GymBoss, some of them still wanted the beep. FYI - Turning down / off the volume is not the same setting as omitting the voice. So I have 3... getting ready to order #4. Love this timer. Original Review: I own a gym & am a personal trainer. I’ve used GymBoss timers for 14 years; however in beginning to go to semi-private training, where I’m training 3 clients at the same time, I needed silent timers & ones they could easily see. For me, being portable, having a rechargeable battery, having the option for custom intervals, being able to set program it on the unit & not with a remote control, and to be able to turn off the sound were all dealbreakers!!! This timer checked off all those things for me!! I just got two programmed & will program the 3rd one tomorrow. I’m extremely happy with these timers!!! NOTE: For all the naysayers who are commenting that these are very difficult to program…. You’re wrong!!! I’m 55 & had no trouble at all. All you have to do is follow the instructions. If anyone has programmed a GymBoss you can definitely program this unit.

The buzzer is a little too loud for me but other than that I love this timer. It helps me keep from wasting time between sets in the gym. Sometimes I’ll get distracted during rest time. As a result I end up taking too long to start the next set. With this timer, I set it and go. It’s great.
