Great flashlight, very bright and fits in hand nicely. I can light up a field almost 200 yards away. This also comes with two extra batteries.

I bought one for my wife and me. These are exactly what I was needing for us! A bright enough light in a small package! It’s got the features that we like and nothing too complicated about it. Of course when you read the bio about this thing, it can make your head spin, but don’t make it complicated for yourself. Turn it on, click through the settings, and that’s it. Not hard. It’s killer bright and super light! It’s a perfect companion to our Nitecore headlamps. This little dude is tough! I’ve dropped mine off of ladders onto concrete dozens of times, from my hip, pocket and “Y harness”. I’ve stepped on it and kicked it so many times. I literally beat the living crap out of this thing, and it just keeps on tickkin! It’s turbo beam has a great focus pattern that easily reaches100 yards. The outer pattern lights up impressively bright as well. I like to reflect off the lake or river when shining long distances to light up the other shore from where I’m fishing. I bought this unit because of the extra batteries for overlanding, hiking and multi-day camping trips and for when charging is not happening every day. This light fits in my pocket or hangs right on my pocket or gear. It’s just the perfect fit for our use. I encourage y’all to pick one up for yourself!

3,000 lumens. Throws light further than my Nitecore 4,000 lumen Tiny Monster. Rechargeable & Removable 5,000 mah batteries. Flashlight has incredible build quality and is compact enough to fit in your pocket. Do yourself a favor and get the Nitecore UMS4 intelligent battery charger as well. You’ll thank me later. Nitecore is synonymous with quality and the P23i is no exception. I now own two of these, 4 batteries. The separate aforementioned charger, and my Tiny Monster. You can buy cheaper but you will not buy better. One last thing. If you’re looking to purchase extra batteries so you can play longer at night only buy Nitecores. My Nitecore batteries are still going strong and I’ve been using them for about 7-8 years now. I paid full price for all my Nitecore toys. I received no compensation whatsoever for this review.

So it was between this light and the Olight Warrior X4 for me. The problem with the Olight is that it does not have the ability to have both the high beam and the strobe on the same "mode". You have to switch modes which takes two hands and several seconds to do. The instant strobe on the Nightcore was a big selling point for me. The battery life seems fine and the brightness/beam are great. This does get extremely hot however. I had this stored in the front knife pocket of my 5.11 pants and it got turned on and burned a hole through my pants. That being said my main issue with this light is the protruding on/off button. It causes it to get hit and turn on sometimes. This one at least has little nubs that somewhat protect the button. I opted for the P23i over the P20iX partially for this reason and for the beam length/distance. Overall I am happy.
