This shampoo is a viscous gel which makes it easy to squeeze out the right amount. However, this consistency is also hard to spread. So I always add water to the blob of shampoo in my hands, emulsify them together, then apply. Doing this results in thick, luxurious foam.As a gourmand lover, I find the scent of this to be a nice change from the usual dandruff shampoo smell. It is a lovely, simple vanilla that isn’t overwhelming. The “toasted coconut notes” mentioned in the product description is undetectable. That isn’t a big deal to me but it might be for those expecting a coconut shampoo. EDIT: After using this shampoo a bit more I do notice the toasted coconut notes. I’d say the scent is 75% vanilla + 25% toasted coconut.I like the simple ingredients list. There aren’t any oils, butters, or heavy silicones. It also lacks those tingly minty extracts that irritate/dry out the skin on my ears and scalp. This shampoo cleanses my oily scalp well without making it feel tight. My patches of seborrheic dermatitis aren’t gone but they decreased in size and are less noticeable. My hair always feels soft and lightweight after I dry it.Overall, I am glad I tried this shampoo and will continue to repurchase it. I hope Neutrogena never discontinues this quality product.

I'm very sensitive to shampoo and conditionals, 95% of shampoos on the market either trigger my seborrheic eczema or give me folliculitis. My favorite shampoo is T-Sal but it isn't always available on Amazon, so I bought this as a substitute. This shampoo is safe for me, leave my head feeling clean and itch free, my hair doesn't get super oily very quickly like with most other shampoos. The one con to me is that my hair isn't as smooth and moisturized after washing compared to T-Sal. But It has a nice chocolaty scent to it that i really like. Overall a good shampoo.

Finally found a shampoo that helped my sensitive scalp to stop itching right after washing my hair during a shower ‼️ Hope this result might help someone else to “get lucky” too!

I bought this hoping it would work as well as Neutrogena's TGel, which I had used for many years. But this did not work well for me, and even triggered eczema on my face 😞

Excellent shampoo. I tried different types against dandruff and itchy scalp. This shampoo helps to reduce the itching. The hair smells great, looks healthy and beautifully curly
