Pleasantly usable camera
The camera arrived only a couple of days after my ordering it. It was well wrapped and secure in a Jiffy bag which contained both this camera and an external camera I'd ordered at the same time. The actual box was fairly flimsy, and contained the camera and a small sheet of instructions. The instructions were brief but adequate...setting up the camera is simple enough.I connected everything up to a PSU and my recording system. And it didn't work. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement, until I realised that the video cable I had put in the circuit was faulty, and stripping it out and replacing it with a new one solved that problem. The camera performed faultlessly after that. The only real problem I found with it was that there is no indicator as to when the camera is the right way up. It is a cylinder, and when in the door you have to keep popping to the monitor to check the orientation of the image on the screen, and then rotate the camera...and turning the camera is counter-intuitive, the image moves in the reverse direction to that which you expect. However, that was the only problem. It would be nice if suppliers of cctv equipment were to supply video gender changers in the box, as the lead I had installed to my front door had the same female connector as the camera, and I had to bridge it with a short male/male shunt, which looks a little unsightly.Other than that it is a top quality product at a very good price. The picture is sharp even at 0.5 lux. The colour definition is good. The focus is crisp from *postman putting things into letterbox* close to the other side of the shopping centre, a good 300 yards away.I would cheerfully recommend this product, and would happily buy another from the same source.

A Room with a Viewer
It's a good camera, good colour, hi-resolution and works under street-lighting. A couple of small points: a part of the cable where it divides into two gets surprisingly warm I think there must be a dropper resistor in the cable wrap which gets hot. Secondly, the output cable for video ends in an RCA Phono plug. As nearly all the extension cables are terminated in BNC, it would be much more useful if the mating partner was BNC rather than phono.A tip: when installing the camera in the door, put a permanent marker dot at the top of the camera and that will help orient it more quickly when setting up.

Don't be fooled into thinking more expensive is better.
The diameter for drilling was confusing because the instructions gave a diameter that wasn't that of the hole to be drilled (it seemed to relate to the bit you can't see in the picture, just behind the lens). I checked the camera worked with my Swan DVR before wasting time fitting a dud and it worked. However while I was fitting the camera by turning the barrel to tighten it to the door width something must have happened because it no longer worked when I plugged it all together again. I had a look and the wires were detached inside the body. It simply couldn't cope with the fitting procedure. Not worth returning so I ordered a cheaper silver door spy camera that I've used in the past. IThe cheaper one was much easier to fit and worked with the DVR no problem. Trouble is this camera needs a large diameter hole drilled into the door whereas the cheaper camera is a much smaller diameter so I had to modify the hole I'd drilled... Next time I won't fool myself into thinking higher price is better quality.

Not 92 degrees as advertised
Camera works fine, but the advertised angle of 92 degrees is wrong, it's more like 60 degrees, which is the same as the camera i was hoping to replace

EASY TO INSTALL & EXCELLENT IMAGE
Excellent product. I’m a lady and I installed it with no issue. Simply expanding the peephole from 13.8mm to this one was no issue. Once I installed, twisting too much can blur and adjust the focus- so be aware b4 screwing into place. Excellent range as described 170 degree. Thank you - I LOVE IT!
