Fantastic Seat!
I can't say enough good things about this seat! I was really stressed about finding the best and safest seat to transition from the Nuna Rava that we've been using for the past 4 years. We've used Nuna seats since she was born and assumed we'd go with them for a high back booster as well. After reading reviews regarding the comfort level and checking the specs, we decided that we were not completely sold on their booster, especially at the price point. So I started researching other options. A big factor, along with the safety rating and comfort level was having fabric that wasn't treated with harmful chemicals, which is a hard find. Enter this gem of a car seat from Britax. First, I love that it has a 5 point harness! My child is 9 but very petite and we all were a bit nervous about using the car's shoulder belt until she got a little bigger. The five point harness fits perfectly and "it's so comfy I don't even feel it there!" Score! She also loves how comfortable and roomy the seat feels and that it has 2 cup holders that her cups actually fit into. She also said that the armrest level was "perfect" since a lot of the other armrests were really low. This is not a lightweight seat. It weighs about 25-26 pounds. However, it is STOUT! It's got plenty of protection from side impacts and it just feels so sturdy and insulated, I know that, God forbid, if we were to be involved in an accident, she would be well protected, which is a weight off my mind. Added bonus is the install is ridiculously easy! I've never been able to install a car seat for some reason, so that task fell on the hubby. I got this baby installed in like 5 minutes and when I did a shake test to make sure the seat was secure, the car shook, but the seat did not budge, thanks to a secure fit using the car's seat belt and the back tether. There are so many other little things to love about this seat, it's hard to name them all without making this review even longer but suffice to say, I'd recommend this seat to anyone looking for an amazingly safe and comfortable seat without the nasty chemicals. Thanks for keeping my baby safe, Britax!

Has a higher height limit than advertised, excellent seat
First of all, the height limits on this seat are incorrectly advertised. Britax has published that this seat has a maximum standing height of 49” for harness mode, however they also state that it has a maximum seated height of 20.5” for harness mode. For clarification on why these two heights don’t match up: the other Britax seats that are known to have a max seated height of 20.5” also have a max standing height of 58”. So obviously if this seat has a max seated height of 20.5” (which it truly does), by default the standing height must be higher. I have contacted Britax about this but they are unwilling to admit the error, which is a shame because most people who are looking for a harness to booster seat with a higher height limit (like we were) are going to pass over this seat based on the incorrectly published standing height limit, and not dig deeper to realize that the seated height limit is actually quite high. So to recap: this seat has a 20.5” seated height limit for harness mode, which is equivalent to a 56”-58” standing height limit, and is therefore an excellent option for people who wish to keep their older (or just taller) kids in a harness for longer. Our 5.5 year old is 46” tall, but has a long torso and has outgrown her excellent Britax Boulevard car seat, which has an 18.5” seated height limit and a 49” standing height limit. I’ve played around with the harness height on this new Grow With You seat, and it still has several more inches to go up in harness mode from where it fits her now, which means we will be able to keep her in a harness for a good while longer before we need to convert to booster mode. This seat seems comfortable from what I can tell (and from what my daughter tells me). It has a nice wide seat and it is roomy in her shoulders (unlike the Chicco MyFit we tried out which had a shockingly narrow seat and not much shoulder room width-wise), and I have no doubt that this seat has enough room for her to grow over the next 5+ years that we will need it. As always the Britax ClickTight feature is a game changer for quick, easy, and correct installation. Something to note however, is that the base of this seat is different from the Boulevard and Marathon seats, meaning the ClickTight feature on this seat is also different. Although we have owned a Britax Boulevard ClickTight seat for the past 5 years, I did not intuitively know how to use the Grow With You ClickTight, and I did need to read the instruction manual. However, once I read the manual it was a piece of cake and I was able to securely install the seat in minutes. Also, I’ve read that there were issues with tightening the harness straps on the Frontier and Pinnacle seats. This Grow With You seat does not have any of those issues; it tightens and loosens easily and securely. And of course, the color choices on this seat are quite nice, and my daughter LOVES her purple seat. My only complaint is that the fabric is not machine washable with this model. That should be a standard feature on EVERY car seat, and I do find that really irritating. But overall this is an excellent seat, as I have come to expect from Britax. I’ve attached a picture comparing our old Boulevard seat (left) at its highest harness setting, with our new Grow With You seat (right) at one of its middle harness settings.

Fantastic car seat
This fits our 2019 Explorer exceptionally well. Both kids are comfortable in their Big Kid seats. I like how the straps never tangle, and buckle is easy to reach, the head support is comfortable and safe. We love how easy the installation is. The cup holders are the right size for the little trinkets three year olds kids pack around with them. The safety is top of the line. Worth the cost.

Very Sturdy but here's some intruction manual tips
We haven't had this carseat very long, just installed this weekend. So far, Britax is a brand we have trusted. This thing is a tank, just like our previous Boulevard. I can't say a lot yes but I will update this after we have had it a while. I want to give some tips though with this seat. I find the instruction manual to be pretty sub par. A few things: loosening the straps. The manual has an arrow pointing to some ambigious area near the armrest to loosen the straps. There is actually a little square piece of material, on the seat area directly in front of the bottom buckle. It has a little slit in it. Stick your finger into that slit and push down. Underneath is a metal button. When you push down, pull the straps to loosen them. Maybe it's just me, but I was sitting alone in the car trying to figure this out and some swear words were emerging from my mouth before I figured this out. Also, tightening the straps. I was having major issues here too. Whenever I put him in his seat, I'd be pulling my back out trying to tighten him in and I couldn't get it tight enough. OK. I heard a helpful trick for this that works! Put your kid in the seat and do not buckle them up at all first. Instead, tighten the straps and eyeball it, and check, before buckling. This allows you to easily make the adjustment. Then buckle them all up and then you can tighten or loosen a little here and there as needed. Much easier! Finally, when you take them out of the seat, putting the straps over the armrests really helps keep them from getting all twisted. I really like the armrests, cup holders, and snack trays. So does my son. It also seems very comfortable. I appreciate how long the straps on the 5 point harness are. My son wasn't fitting into his staps anymore in the 5 point harness of his Boulveard convertible. He is 4 and I plan to keep him in the straps as long as possible. After researching I have found that using the seat belt as opposed to the 5 point harness prematurely can be a huge added risk to children, allowing them to slip easily out of the seatbelt in the event of a crash. But of course every parent has to make the decision that is right for their family, this is just my advice to anyone buying this seat.

This is an excellent car seat.
I was reviewing several car seats before deciding to buy this one. Despite the fact that in the car seat rankings and several reviews from other buyers mentioned that the headrest was very noisy and looked flimsy, I decided to take a chance. So far, I've been pleasantly surprised, as my headrest has been strong and quiet. I think this might be because I read the instruction manual and made sure to install the seat correctly. It's very important to place the rear belt in a "V" shape behind the seat. It's a sturdy chair with a reinforced aluminum frame. The only detail I have to point out is that the clips that adjust the seat liner come undone easily. Even though the fabric hasn't moved out of place so far, it's just a matter of putting them back in. Also, it's a very spacious seat, where the child fits comfortably and the fabric is easy to clean. Despite those small details, I am very happy with the purchase and would recommend this seat, but with the warning to read the installation manual very carefully. I am still in the process of testing the seat, so I will update my review if there are any changes or unstable performance.

This will keep your child safe!
If you want to have peace of mind that you are choosing a car seat that is safe this is it! This was our second purchase of this car seat because it saved my son’s life. My husband was in a horrible accident with our 3 year old son in this seat that totaled his car. Our son walked away unharmed. This car seat saved his life! I will always recommend this seat. I don’t typically write reviews, but felt like I needed to shout it from the rooftops to let anyone know that if you are looking for safety, this is it! It is easy to install and comfortable for my child, but the main goal is safety and this does it’s job!

So many things to love!
You know when you’ve had something nice, and then when you don’t have it anymore you miss it? Yeah, that happened to me with car seats. I have sworn by Britax car seats for years and absolutely love the ClickTight. When I transitioned my son from a convertible to a harness-2-booster, I went with a seat that was about $100 cheaper. It’s still a good seat, but it lacks everything I LOVE about Britax. First of all, there’s the rigid steal frame. It’s not a lightweight seat because of this, but it’s rigid and solid! Then there’s the Safe Cell technology. It’s the red honeycomb looking piece in the base of the seat. It’s there to compress and absorb energy. Pretty cool safety feature if you ask me. The v-shape top tether fits nicely on either side of the headrest. It is also easy to tighten and loosen. There is side impact protection with foam lining the side shell of the seat and the headrest “wings”. The headrest is easy to adjust with one hand with 9 height positions. It gets very tall! The ClickTight installation is amazing! I had that other seat installed with the latches and had forgotten that there is a weight limit for latch use! Since ClickTight uses the car’s seat belt to install the car seat, you don’t have to worry about remembering that very important safety detail. It’s also sooooo much easier than LATCH installation, and the car seat doesn’t budge! You know the struggle I’m talking about when using LATCH installation. You have to put your body weight in the seat while trying to tighten the tether and the dern seat still moves although it’s probably within the allowed 1inch of movement. The Britax ClickTight is such a secure and easy installation that I know it’s done right which means I’m confident my child is safe. The next feature that I really missed not having on that other seat that Britax has is the stay put buckle. The crotch piece on this seat stays forward so there’s no digging under your child to grab hold of it in order to buckle them. This is by no means a safety feature or a have to have, but it sure is nice having it and when I didn’t have it, I wished I did, so it’s a nice to have feature. The hugs pads on the chest part of the harness do not bother my kids, and they actually help keep the harness from twisting, so there’s another safety feature. The neck pads at the top of the harness Velcro around it, but they are attached to the back so they don’t go sliding around. Another annoyance I had with the other seat is that the “male part” of the buckle that slides on the hip and thigh part of the harness would always slide to the bottom of the harness so I’d have to shove my hand between the seat and my child’s hip to get that piece to buckle him in. The way the Britax harness is made, that piece stays up higher so again, there’s no digging. It is also more comfortable for my child now that I don’t have to dig. There are cup holders on both sides of the seat with another little section for holding other things. Unlike the other seat I had, the cup holders do not make the seat wider than any other part of the seat. They are not removable but they can be wiped out easily. There are two recline angles. I honestly don’t see much difference between the two, so this isn’t something I’d rave about. My kids seem to like the arm rests. The fabric is cool and comfortable with just enough cushion. I love that the fabric can be thrown in the washer and dryer! Game changer! I haven’t had to do that yet, but I love that I can. I love the color options as well. My husband was in a car accident that required us to get new car seats. We decided the new seats would go in our 2019 Suburban which has a middle bench seat. I began researching seats that I could fit 2 side by side and still be able to fold down the 1/3 seat to access the third row. Researching was impossible because all of the Suburban reviews had been done with middle captain seats. There are more narrow seats out there, but the ClickTight installation allows you to shift the car seat over so it’s not centered in the seat if need be. I missed all of the features of the Britax that I went ahead and purchased two of these and crossed my fingers that they would fit as I tried installing them. They are a perfect fit! They barely touch (which is fine) and I’m able to fold the 1/3 seat down without a car seat interfering. I could definitely fit 3 of these across the bench seat with no problem. What I found with one of the most narrow seats, is that the cup holder isn’t very accessible and impossible to use if seats are side by side. I don’t know about you, but cup holders are a must for me so it’s a deal breaker. These seats will grow with my children as they go from harnessed boosters to high back boosters, so we will be using them for many many years. I know they will withhold the test of time, and my boys will be safe! Best of all, I have all the features back that I missed with that other seat! It’s worth every penny because you’re getting a great quality seat with wonderful conveniences. Britax definitely keeps baby and caregiver in mind!
