Very easy to fit... once you know how
Water was constantly running into my cistern so I replaced the inlet valve (see separate review) only to find that it still leaked. In fact the problem was that the outlet valve was leaking water into the overflow meaning that the inlet valve kept running gently to keep the water level up.The previous (and currently only other) review of this valve says “don’t forget to buy a new seal”; however mine came with a seal as pictured; I was doubtful whether it was needed when I ordered, but I bought the seal anyway as it was an Amazon add-on item and very cheap. The valve is really easy to fit - literally a few minutes - once you know how. I was stumped by a plastic collar keeping the actuator in position so I phoned Geberit who were very helpful and referred me to an installation video, admittedly for another model, but they said the valve structure was exactly the same. In fact it’s just a question of opening out the plastic collar to slide it back over the retaining lugs. I was confident of doing this once I had seen the video of it going the other way, but initially I was worried about it snapping. So I now have a leak-free cistern and will use the spare seal I've got in my other bathroom. It’s worth considering whether you need the whole valve or whether replacing only the seal will do the trick. The old seal in mine was ridged and slightly curved from use and I could probably have saved myself some money to achieve the same result.

Fixed Problem
Long-standing recessed system continually running water. Unable to get plumber due to COVID and isolating. Obtained this part after researching parts needed. Surprised myself by fixing it myself. Part supplied quickly as promised by the supplier.
