Can this cord withstand the summer weather?

I made a plant hanger using Bonnie rope and it hangs outside year round. I live in Texas with high heat and heavy rain. The plant hanger has held up for 2 years now. Slightly discolored but still looks good enough to keep.

The color looks more dusty pink, which I would prefer. Would you say it's a pink color?

I would say that it is a mauve/dusty pink color definitely.

Has anyone crocheted with this cord? If so, what size hook did you use?

I used the cord to crochet an oval carpet. This project required a size 'P/Q hook. The cord was excellent to work with and the finished product was lovely.
