Has anyone had any issues with hip dysplasia and the magic sleepsuit? I am wondering if it's too restrictive and may limit hip movement?

Well, I am not a doctor but my baby is able to move very easily in this. It's not restrictive or tight and doesn't bind the legs or hips. It simply muffles major movement. My little one is able to lift his arms and legs and wiggle around the crib. He sleeps well in it because I believe it makes him feel warm and snug.

Can I nurse my daughter in this? Also, My daughter is 3 months. She is 12.5lbs and 24.5" I bought the 3-6 months, is it going to be too small?

Based on your daughters age and weight the 3-6 month Magic Sleepsuit sounds like the perfect size for her. What is the TOG rating on this ?

The Magic Sleepsuit does not have a TOG rating because it is not enclosed like a Sleepsack. The design with the open hands and feet allow babies heat to dissipate as she sleeps unlike a swaddle or sleepsack. Feeling the chest or back are the best indicators of how warm/cold your baby is in the Sleepsuit. As long as you keep your home at the recommended temperature for babies, which is on the cooler side. I have a rather large baby - 27 inches & 19.6 lbs at 4.5 months. He's on his way out of a swaddle, will the largest suit (up to 21lbs) be too small?

I realize this is an older thread, but wanted to provide clarification for parents still reading these questions. I would say try it. Our LO is 27" long and 16 lbs. His arms and legs hang out of it a bit, BUT it still provides that feeling of a swaddle to his midsection and chest. I think have comfort in the midsection and chest is what's so comforting and effective about this suit. Our nephew was the same way. He was a very large baby and his arms/legs were never completely covered, but he slept so well when in this suit. As my sister says....the call it a magic suit for a reason. So, I think as long as it fits their midsection it would still be effective.

size is very small

Dont really write reviews but i thought this maybe will be helpful for other sleep deprived parents. I was very sceptical when i ordered this suit. My daughter is a fussy one and if she is not comfy she will not sleep. Period. Scream the house down and not sleep. She is 6 months and i was still swaddling her. I bought this product with the frame of mind that will be added to the pile of wasted money. How wrong was i?! She loves it. Doesn't quite sleep through the night but wakes up twice and then straight back to sleep. Worth a try peeps. If you are struggling to transition from swaddling try this. You may be pleasantly surprised.

Last night I had the best night's sleep I've had in a long time thanks to this product. Since a few weeks old my baby has only slept soundly in someone's arms. The only time she would sleep in her cot was in a sleeping bag and it would only last 30 minutes before she'd wake herself up fidgeting. She has eczema so she would wake up and furiously scratch at herself but after one night in this sleepsuit she slept in her cot for 11 hours, only waking up once to feed. It's a miracle! I've already ordered a second one and I can't rave about this product enough. Pros: Everyone gets some sleep No more fidgeting and fussing Keeps baby at a good temperature She looks like a super cute marshmallow Cons: Takes a long time to dry Have to completely take baby out to change The cons are very minor in comparison to a good night's sleep and I would recommend to any parent struggling to get their little one to sleep.

Let me start by saying I have tried all swaddles out for a better night sleep! I really wanted this one to work but it’s far too small and so hard to get on and off- and my baby isn’t too big- recommended size/ weight. Quite disappointed in this product- if it’s such a great seller where is the larger version (zip all the way through would be a bonus too)
