Fantastic board game with a great plot!
We played through the whole game as a party of 2 and found it to be well balanced and an extremely good time. This is probably my favorite board game experience ever. It has a plot that builds on what happened in the first Legacy game, so I recommend playing that first so events in the game mean more to you. The mechanics are somewhat different from normal Pandemic, but also similar. We found it to be more difficult than the first Pandemic Legacy game. I think we lost ... 4 games total, as opposed to one game in Season 1. My only complaint is that some of the stickers didn't stick well, and I needed to use some glue to get the additional rule stickers and role upgrade stickers to adhere to their respective cards. For those who are concerned about the price for a game that is a consumable product, it is worth it. Think of it like a movie or theater... 12+ evenings of good gameplay that draws you in and makes you feel like you are managing resources in a post-apocalyptic world.

Best Board Game Out There
Avid board gamer here. Big fan of strategy games and "Euro" games. I can confidently say that Pandemic: Legacy Season 2 is the most fun I've ever had while playing a board game. You do not need to have played Season 1 to enjoy Season 2, though it does give some great texture to Season 2's storyline. The designers have done an amazing job at creating a game that has extremely similar mechanics to its predecessors, but with a much, much different feel & gameplay. While Season 2 might be slightly easier and not quite as technically well-crafted as Season 1 (there were a time or two where we saw ways to "break the game"), the exploration aspect is so much fun and the twists & turns in the story are as good as ever. They tweaked character abilities, game end upgrades, and added a randomization component to scars, all greatly improving upon what was already a solid game. I absolutely loved Season 1, and I'm happy to say that Season 2 has exceeded my expectations. Can't wait to see what these guys cook up next.

Great game with a great story
Having played Pandemic and Pandemic: Legacy Season 1 I was very familiar with the overall concept. However, this game's mechanics are very different, so in the end it doesn't matter if you have played the other Pandemic. The story builds upon that of Season 1, but it is independent in many ways so you can enjoy the game just as well without playing Season 1. This is a very tense game, where you have to take decisions that could cost your character its life. It is a very challenging game too, so you have to take risks, speak a lot with your teammates and have a lot of discussions about what to do. So, find 3 friends that commit to this story and enjoy long nights trying to save the world.

Great game!!
After finishing Season 1, I was lukewarm about going back -- how could they do it better? But my kids really wanted to do Season 2 and I'm glad I did. Season 2 removed some of the more tedious parts of Season 1 and added several more really fun exploration and sandbox mechanics that made this a superior game. The post-apocolyptic motif was really fun, and the backstory is brought to life richly in journal entries and character back stories. Great game! Season 2 can also be played as a standalone game -- Season 1 is not a prerequisite, although Season 1 is the most similar to the original Pandemic game.

Amazing sequel
My friend and I played Season 1 together and had a blast, so I got this for her birthday for us to play together. Full of twists and turns, and a wild new take on typical Pandemic gameplay. Season 2 is more difficult but so worth it. Definitely play Season 1 first, though.

The box was NOT sealed.
There was no plastic wrapping the box. We were very concerned because we've heard a lot of board games sold on Amazon are replicas. Luckily there were no missing pieces and it seemed like everything was intact so we didn't return it. I think Amazon could have just shipped us a returned product. the minus 1 star is for Amazon.

If You Liked Season 1, Buy This Immediately
We played Season 1 and found it extremely engrossing! Yes, you can only play it once, but the experience will stick with you far longer after you're done. The same can be said about Season 2. They really mix up the gameplay more in this release as well. We appreciated the different changes they made versus Season 1 and the other games in general. Any fans of the Pandemic games should love both Season 1 and Season 2. They were money well spent for lasting experiences. We really hope they make more eventually!

Super intense game but great for anyone a fan of the Pandemic series. Be aware thou, it is a play once only game as components do get ripped and destroyed... so make the right choices. Can't wait to play the next month this weekend!

Most recommended for the ones that have already played "season 1". Slightly different mechanisms, but also very enjoyable and ideal for lockdowns or two people to go through it. Might appear expensive but considering that you will play the game at least 14-16 times (to finish it), I would still consider it excellent value for money. At the end of the day how many times have you played the latest board game you bought for half as much money?
