Aftermarket chargers for Garmin smartwatches are notoriously unreliable. I have gone through several which simply stopped working. The Garmin charging connection is a terrible design but the rest of the watch is so astoundingly useful for running that there is no other choice. This product has reliably connected every time. The secret is to not press the charger very hard into the port on the watch. When fully seated, it may not charge. But slightly less fully inserted and it works. No full cable necessary, just a tiny addition to a standard USB-C cable.

These are great for travel and having access to a Garmin charger everywhere I need it. The "L" shape of the charger itself is a better design than the Garmin charger. Clicks into place perfectly, no issues with charging. Total game changer, as now I keep one in my car and at the office.

I bought my first set a few years ago. Two of them came, work great on any USB c cable/charger I plug them into for my Garmin epix gen 2. I now have two locations I travel between, so bought an extra set for the new location. Connected my watch, it wouldn't charge. Tried multiple cables and charger heads, same thing. I assumed my watch was bad. Warrantied it for a refurb through Garmin for $170. When it arrived, it wouldn't charge. So I brought the new ones to my old place, and the new ones are the culprit; the old heads charge my watch fine, on any charger; new ones don't work at all, no matter what charger or cable. Watch is (and always was) fine. Totally my bad for not checking these little guys before RMAing my watch, but they had been so trustworthy for years I trusted them. Never again; clearly the new ones cannot be trusted.

The charging cable for my Garmin is never where I need it, when I need it. These adapters let any USB-C cable do the job. I keep one adapter in my car and the other with my sports equipment, with the official Garmin cable kept next to my bed. Why didn't Garmin do this?

The initial order didn’t have a good fit on my Garmin Fenix 7 but the easily ordered replacement works well. Would have been 5 stars if the original order had worked. This is a great addition to the set of adapters needed to support my gear.

I bought these so I could have my charger with me anywhere since I’ve been caught with my watch running out of power away from home. The extra benefit is that the connection to my Garmin watch is stronger than my Garmin cable so I get a good charge every time. My Garmin cable doesn’t always have as tight a connection anymore so I have to play with the cable angle to get it to charge properly. These adapters have resolved that issue.
