Babo Botanicals SPF 40 Daily Sheer Facial Sunscreen, Unscented, 1.7oz, Best Natural Mineral Sunscreen, Non-Nano, Sensitive

After many years of using chemical based sunscreens and my skin starting to react negatively to them I decided to make the switch to Mineral, not as easy as i thought. I've tried about 9,999,999 different ones and spent quite a lot in doing so. To save anyone else going through the absolute minefield of products and reviews i am writing this one for other people. My skin is quite sensitive and prone to redness, I work outside in the summer heat and need a sunscreen that is effective with decent SPF, water and sweat proof that I don't have to reapply every ten seconds. I found every product has mixed reviews but if you are similar to me then take a chance on this one. It's not greasy, it's not too drying, it's effective, seems quite sweat resistent, I've not tested it with water though but quotes 80 mins. It isnt as thick as most others especially given that it's factor 40, it almost goes on like the higher spf chemicals. With regards the dreaded white cast, it's remarkably almost non existent and what is evident disappears after about half an hour. In addition it really helps to hide any redness and even colour. The worst thing is the smell, though not entirely unpleasant and far more preferable than the rotten coconut smell that I've found/suffered in others, it does smell amost a bit kind of chemical, but that too dissipates after around 30 mins. It's also quite reasonably priced. This is now my every day facial sunscreen.

I bought this as needed a mineral facial sunscreen with no nasties for pregnancy. I apply it over moisturiser as it can be a bit drying without. There is a slight white cast (I have very pale skin) but this fades after a few minutes and isn't noticeable if you wear make-up over the top, which I find goes on well. I've not tried mixing it with moisturiser as per another reviewer's suggestion, as this will lower its effectiveness. I like that it's a high factor. Yes, it's not as good as a chemical sunscreen, but if you need or choose to use a mineral sunscreen then this is probably the best I've tried.

Does the job but pricy and smells awful. Wouldn't buy again.

Excellent product for my ultra-sensitive skin. Not at all greasy, leaves a good base for makeup. I suffer from rosacea and this sunscreen has definitely helped diminish the redness. My skin looks better than it has in years.

It’s very noticeable when you wear it, no matter your skin colour. I have fair skin and this product made my face look like a ghost. Not to mention it seemed like it was out of date or gone bad. It just doesn’t work honestly.

Other mineral sunscreens left my face ghostly white (and I am South Asian, so I have dark skin). I had almost given up hope on mineral sunscreens and feared that I may have to resort to chemical offerings. However, I am SO GLAD I found this one. It sinks in wonderfully, leaving a nice glow (not a cast). And a little goes a very long way. This is my go-to sunscreen now.

I opened it and it was runny like water and lumpy. The fact that expiry date is June this year, its going to the bin before it will finish, leaves white face, but can be wiped off, doesn't stains clothes.

Bit of an odd scent, but it fades. Good protection from the sun. Does not feel sticky or greasy. Once fully applied, it does not leave any whiteness.

Product does not blend completely in the face even after mixing it with moisturizing cream, leaves white/pink residue while blending it in the face. Had to discontinue the use as it made me look like a ghost.

Read A lot of mixed reviews. I have very sensitive skin ( lupus, rosacea, previous skin cancer ) and I’m very picky about sunscreen products. This product works great for me. Yes, just like all other healthy, good, working sunscreens it does look a little white when you apply however it does not stay white. I use moisturizer every morning and evening and this goes on very easily for me and washes off nicely as well. I have no issue with the scent, the texture, or the way the product is applied. It does not make my eyes burn when I go swimming. I would definitely recommend this sunscreen as a healthy and affordable option.

Es muy ligero y esparce muy bien por lo que rinde mucho. A pesar de ser libre de fragancia tiene un olor fuerte a sus componentes no muy agradable. Resecó y deshidrató en exceso mi piel por lo que no lo recomendaria para pieles secas y/o deshidratadas.
