I am a huge fan of the moleskine line of notebooks and diaries. The paper is second to none in my opinion. It is sufficiently thick not to allow bleed through (I use a rollerball), it's smooth but does not have that sometimes slippery "plasticky" feel that overly smooth paper may have. Yet it has just the right amount of paper 'grip', without being scratchy. I feel that the spacing of the lines is optimum - it's not too wide which seems to encourage me to scrawl all over - the Moleskine line spacing however is narrower than other notebooks and this just seems to encourage me to write my notes neatly. Above all, I like the colour of the pages - it's not blindingly white but a much softer neutral hue. The pages lie flat and there is a little flap on the inside of the back cover where you can stuff loose bits of papers and notes. The XL size is my favourite - again, its size is unique - it's just right. Not too large like A4 and yet a bit larger than A5. Goldilocks would have been happy. No wonder it is the notebook of writers. I am an academic and I make copious notes in my job, and somehow the moleskine books get my creative juices flowing more so than other notebooks I have used in the past. It is more expensive than run of the mill notebooks of course, but I think the price is competitive when compared to expensive luxury brands. As I said, the magic is in how it encourages me to fill its pages and get me to think 'out loud' on paper.

I have used these Moleskine Cahier (Large size) for years. Often they are expensive, so when they come up discounted on Amazon, I but a pack of 3, which is good value. I like the quality of the paper. Also the size of the paper means its large enough to be useful (not like hand-bag sized notebooks) but not too large (like A4) to carry conveniently in a rucksack.

This size is perfect, large enough to take decent notes, not too big to carry around extra weight during the day. The paper doesn’t bleed my ink pens, I’m a ‘firm’ writer, and the indentation is minimal. I appreciate the tiny inner-back sleeve for throwing in receipts, sticky notes or a folded A4 sheet. I love Moleskin products, but this size and the smaller paper count = portability, utility. A fan. Product was delivered undamaged.

Paper is thinner than I thought, but the paper is nice to write on. Gets the job done well enough to where I can recommend it.

Good size notebooks for work. Moleskin is a nice feel and makes it look a quality product.

I’m a PhD student and often find that I need pen and paper around to scribble things when I’m in the middle of my research. I previously used to by the soft leather bound moleskins. However, that got pricey as I would get through them a bit too quick and at £16 a pop it does add up. These are great because you get the moleskin quality paper without the leather. This, no extra cost. So 5/5 I would recommend for any student who loves quality paper.

Accept no subtitute, go for the real deal - Moleskine.

They are the perfect size and can take a lot of being battered around in bags. Love these cahier notepads. Paper is thick enough to allow writing on both sides in pen, so not wasteful. They are bendy, big paged wonders

I got these for people for Christmas, and I got a great price on them. I got one for myself, too, because I have wanted one for over thirty years.

They have not given the right measurements. It is much bigger than you want.

Habe die "Cahier" Notizhefte vor einigen Jahren entdeckt - für mich die idealen "analogen Schreib- und zeichnungssammlungen"! Nutze die XL und XXL linierten für laufende Notizen im Beruf, (keine losen Blätter mehr - alles zusammen) für tägliche Journale / Notizen - Mitschriften bei Seminaren, etc etc etc. Flexibel durch Softcovers, wenn man am KNie mitschreiben will problemlos wenn man ein Stück Karton zuschneidet und hinten in die Umschlagslasche steckt, und hab ich schon die tolle Haptik erwähnt ? ;-) leicht beige Seitenfarbe Sieht auch wenn sie schon ein wenig gebraucht sind noch immer passabel - patiniert aus . Gibts auch glatt und kariert.
