Works excellently without problem. I find it very easy to fill up and empty and it runs silently. The top of the tank is rounded so it doesn't sit flat when you turn it upside down to fill it, but I set the top inside the kitchen sink drain and it fits perfectly and stays put. Alternatively you could place it in a bowl or pot to keep it still while it fills if you don't want to hold on to it. It emits a very fine cool mist that looks like white smoke which is interesting to watch. I've received several compliments from coworkers about how stylish it looks. It lasts a fairly long time on one tank of water depending on how high you turn it up; I use it five days a week at the office turned up about half way or slightly higher and it usually makes it until midday Wednesday or Thursday on one tank. You can twist the spout to point the mist in different directions. It will automatically shut off when it runs out of water which I appreciate for safety reasons and there is a tiny light in the base that turns red when the water level is too low and green when it is fine. There are demineralization filter cartridges available separately if desired and I like that it is available in different colours. This is the quietest and most attractive humidifier I have ever had and I think the price is very decent. I would highly recommend this device for those looking for a small space humidifier. I have been using mine five days a week for nearly a year and a half and it is still working perfectly for me.

I've had the humidifier for a little over a month now. Although I initially loved it, I've since stopped using it due to the difficulty associated with maintaining it. Pros: - Item arrived promptly and in a well-protected package. - The humidifier has a really great water output, and produces a thick, visible stream of mist -- even on the lower settings! - Despite the heavy water output, it's incredibly efficient. On a low-to-mid setting, it lasts for nearly a full 24 hours of continuous use. - Very quiet! Advertised as "whisper-quiet" and is indeed so. Cons: - Once it runs out, it's a bit of a pain to refill. Contrary to common sense, you can't simply remove the top spout and pour water down the top. Rather, you have to remove the spout, remove the water tank, turn it upside down, and fill it that way. Very counter-intuitive, and a bit of a chore. Getting water all over the place while doing so is unavoidable. - Cleaning is a pain. The bottom of the humidifier (i.e. the part that has the controls, etc.) is undetachable from the power cord, so you need to unplug the device from the wall every time you want to empty it out. This becomes especially difficult during cleaning when it's filled to the brim with water and vinegar. For someone wanting to keep the chord neatly tucked away thinking that you will never need to access it, this may not be the best option. - There is a small light that is constantly on whenever the humidifier is running. When it's full, the light is green, and when it's empty, the light is red. (Unless you turn the entire device off, both the light and the unit remain on even when the tank is empty.) It's a fairly bright light, and there is virtually no way to cover it up as it is located inside of the tank. - In order to be used effectively, the device needs to be elevated (i.e. cannot simply be placed on the floor). Despite it's flaws, it remains the best humidifier I have ever owned. For someone willing to invest the time into constant care (i.e. not bothered by the difficulty of doing so), it's definitely something I would recommend. For someone looking for a low-maintenance device, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

After doing some research on product reviews, I ended up purchasing this for a small bedroom. Works great, as the numerous product reviews indicated. With maximum output I end up filling the water in the morning and before nighttime. I also own an Air O Swiss 7145 unit for the main living area which I have been using for two years which also works great for a larger living area. Update: After close to 2 weeks of operation as per the instruction manual, the unit no longer emitted mist. I have requested a replacement and will add an update in the future. Hopefully the unit I received is a dud and the replacement will stand up to continuous use. Due to the defective unit, I have changed my rating from 5 to 3 stars. Stay tuned for a future update... Update 2: The replacement unit unfortunately had the same issue and only operated less than a week. After reading recent reviews of others having the same issue I have come to the conclusion that this humidifier is of poor quality. I also saw that there was a recent increase in price in early 2016 which is definitely not justified. The second unit will be returned and I will be looking into purchasing an additional Air O Swiss unit for the quality. I have therefore, changed my rating again from 3 to 1 star since the product simply does not work.

This product is satisfactory. It works well for a small room to keep the humidity up. But it has some major design flaws. One: To fill it up you have to take the whole machine over to the tap (not just the water console) because you literally have to wash the darn thing every day (it gets mildewy fast). And even if it's not smelly yet, you need to because if you take the water console out the rim isn't deep enough to keep the remaining water in that white bottom part, and it will spill. Really annoying. Also the jet of steam is so strong anything past the midpoint it will leave a puddle on your bed or floor depending where it's pointed. Really annoying. That said it looks good and it's very very quiet. But yeah, they could definitely make some improvements. I would say spend a bit more and buy a good quality cool mist. That's what I would do if I had the chance to do-over.

I've been using this for about 2 weeks now. First strange thing I noticed was that in the first 24hrs when it was on at max, it did next to nothing. Maybe lost an inch of water in the tank overnight. But the next day, it started working fine. This is the best ultrasonic unit at given price range I have found. The construction and quality is decent for the price point. It also operates very quietly. I track temp and humidity in all my rooms in the house. I read somewhere that it's suitable for a room up to 250sq ft. However, I've been using it in my bedroom which is 200sq ft. For the Canadian winters when it's -10 Celcius outside, the unit wasn't able to get the relative humidity above 40% like my other 2 (more expensive ones). However, I am not expecting it to produce the same output given the size and the price point. Considering some ultrasonic humidifiers can go for $300 bucks, I'd be happy if this can last me 3 winters. If you have a small bedroom 100 - 150 sq ft, then I think this unit is great and I would recommend it. I give it a 5 star because it accomplishes what a $50 ultrasonic humidifier should do for a small bedroom.
