Great For Your Compatible Swann NVR
Sadly, I only purchased one of these as I wanted a wider angle than this model deliver so I purchased many of the similar model dome cameras. After fighting with the terrible performance of the dome cameras and making sure they had the latest firmware update I ended up installing this in the so-called "problem" location. This camera is clear and bright at night, which is where the dome cameras performed poorly. If you can live with a slightly more narrow field of view these cameras work great for your compatible Swann NVR. Going to save up to replace all the 12mp dome cameras with this model and it works the way you'd expect it to

Great Possibilities but not for a 4K system
I have the 4K 8 channel camera system, model NVR8-8550RN-USA. I researched this camera and found that it is compatible with my system (According to Swann). My intention for getting this camera is for having increased resolution with 6K vs 4K as is advertised at Amazon.com and Swann.com. I expected sharper images hoping to capture license plate numbers of those committing criminal acts in my neighborhood. I installed the camera only to find that there is NO improvement to video quality. As one other reviewer mentioned, the images are stretched in the 6K mode. Changing it to 4K or 2K resolutions just make the scene larger with no improvement to resolution. In the 6K mode when enlarging the viewing area, the sharpness quickly macro blocks (worse than the current 4K cameras)! The next problem (and more justification for returning this camera) is that when used with the 4K NVR8-8550RN base, it gobbles up so much bandwidth, to the point that when looking at recordings, only two cameras can be viewed at a time in Playback. Reducing the other camera's resolutions and bandwidth do not fix the problem. With my system, three camera viewing is expected in Playback. By design, this cameras case and arm are the same as the 4K wall mounted cameras. It is wall mounted and can be adjusted to any desired angle (Unlike another reviewer who said that it was a ceiling mount and could not be adjusted). The next problem is respective to "Analytics, Human & Vehicle Detection." This camera will put a box around the object that is sees. Well even with its default settings, it sees an area as human that is not (not even close and is completely stationary). I had to dumb it down to around 40% to stop this behavior because it was falsely and continuously recording endlessly! Once dumbed down, well it couldn't catch a human! Until Swann fixes all these bugs, this camera is be best suited to use only with 12 Swann 6K mega HD Security Camera Systems that have 12MP PoE, as I assume not having a full 6K system. Be cautious about getting this camera for 4K systems. Thankfully Amazon has a great return policy.

Distorts the picture
It makes the picture wider and stretches it, I returned it

Stretched Image
Purchased as an add on to a Swann 6k 12mp system. The system and cameras display stretched images. Amazon only offered 1 return option; traveled to a USP store, so 1 hour and $20 in gas round trip. Amazon customer service had no other options and with a language barrier, did not understand providing a label that (I would pay for), to ship back from my home. We live rural. If you buy products, make sure it ships AND is sold by Amazon. Return policy is better.

I discovered Design Flaws when trying to mount camera
Limited adjustment options when mounted on the wall. Not able to tilt down AND pan left/right. Its either/or when mounted on the wall. Only mounting on ceiling allows for tilt and pan adjustments at the same time. But without ball type mount the adjustments still have limits. Proprietary mount does not allow for converting to a better style standard 1/4 camera mount for more mounting options. SWANN is probably locked into this mount design for a good number of years. Also locked in is this gaudy pig tail connector coming out of the camera. With power adapter connector whether you need one or not. This forces you into some less desirable design options. 1-Leave the huge pigtail connector mess dangling around near the camera. 2-Add an outdoor junction box to mount the camera too and stuff the wad of pigtail cable in the junction box. 3-Drill a over sized 1" hole through the wall or ceiling to have an opening big enough to stuff the pigtail out of sight. This is about 4 times the size hole needed to feed a single Ethernet cable through.
