Bellroy Hide & Seek Premium Edition (Slim leather billfold)

My apprehensions dissipated quickly once I arranged my wallet-worthy things into it. It magnificently accommodated everything and looked relatively compact — a near-perfect wallet.

I rarely write reviews but on this product I thought it possibly helpful to address the price for quality dimension. This wallet is ridiculously expensive. Nonetheless, I chose to buy it. In my opinion, was the wallet worth the price? Yes, for the following reasons. 1. General Quality. The structure or material design of the wallet is what you’d expect for the price. The leather pieces are cut precisely and look great, and particularly, the bill holding component at the back of the wallet is never effected by the front part holding whatever cards you may have. Thus, in a scramble at a cashier’s desk to put away change, the endeavor is easy, as one would hope for the price. 2. Precise Measurements. The fitted slips to hold the credit/debit cards are each precisely measured to hold the card fit and securely. I’ve not seen a wallet with such a “non-stacked” (credit cards, one in front of the other, vertically) and tailored design. What I wonder is given how precise the leather is cut to fit the cards, if, after much use the trimmed boundaries of the credit card holders begin to wear. 3. Plenty of Space. Simply, I fit all my contents into the wallet without consulting the “hidden” pocket for storage which can assuredly handle quite a load of cards and/or change/bills. The design and structure of the wallet somewhat makes this intermediate sleeve between the bill holder and the credit card portion, independent on its own, meaning contents in either other section does not inhibit one’s ability to put contents in this section. Last, 4. Appearance when full. I’ve learned that what a wallet looks like before and after being filled with your contents can be materially different as to make a wallet a “bad buy” after it appears to be sound one all the way until filled. This wallet, as pictured, contains all my desired materials and maintains its shape and structure. In sum, this is a pricey wallet. Nonetheless, you get what you pay for.

When my last wallet had finally become so bloated and loose at the seems that I couldn't ignore it any longer and knew I had to look for a new one, I read up as much as I could and actually decided to purchase this wallet and another wallet from a competitor. I decided to put a few of my important cards and cash in the Bellroy for a test run......It's been many months since then, still haven't even opened the other wallet's box. The difference in quality and feel was immediately felt; the size, space, and design has proven to be impressive and exactly what I wanted/needed. It cannot be understated how delighted I was to find it perfectly fits a vaccination card. You tuck it away in the secret pocket area where it is concealed, protected, and fits perfectly without being folded or creased. So impressed that when it came time to consider buying something to protect my passport for my upcoming trip--I started and ended my search with Bellroy.

accent color of the leather used inside is absolutely great i loved it. what I didnt love was the price i wish it was 25% cheaper ! I bought Apex the most expensive one with magnet as i said design was great but number of cards that I have was right on the "max advertised" and magnet didnt close nicely . to be fair with lesser cards magnet works as advertised. i gifted that apex didnt return it. then i bought hide and seek .works perfect for me. first off amazon delivered in 24 hrs big +. i loved the hidden " section" in very back. again leather quality design n all is perfect but my Canadian! credit cards is same size as cut. so it doesnt fit without help . well we might say its new it will loosen, stuff like that, but for $200 wallet ,not acceptable. here is the reason : when i push the card or bend the wallet to fit i have a fear in long run cards tear the end of cut. i wish Delroy put couple of stiches at each end of cut . cause its shame after few month it tears the cut and it will. i mean the cuts are TOO perfect . all n all great job both maker and amazon.

Wallet did not feel like a good quality wallet. Very thin and flimsy. Inside was even worse, idk what the material is but overall not worth 130$.
