PCHD001 Pro Hood for 15-26 inch Monitor

I use this on a high quality monitor editing mainly wedding photography and for the price it’s well made, fits beautifully and has easy access for measuring devices. The interior is reflection dead and the whole assembly looks very neat. A true bargain and worth the asking price.

Does the job but was a bit upset at the price they ask for what results in a piece of plastic, but if you need something like this you have very little choice but to pay the inflated price asked. If they had asked a reasonable price this would be receiving 5 stars.

Four Stars mainly because of the price although I looked a quite a few brands and all seem to be in the same price range which is a lot of money for something that's simple and made of plastic, I did find it a little fiddly assembling it, kept wanting to unclip itself but eventually managed it. I needed to purchase one of these hoods because I do a lot of photo editing and my desk is close to a window which causes reflection, the hood has eliminated this. Once fitted to the monitor (it's adjustable so fits my 24"screen nicely) it stays put held in place by elastic straps, the removable cover in the centre is big enough to fit my spyder pro calibrator through so all good.

This hood has excellent quality and workmanship. It is Strong and fits my Dell 24inch LCD perfectly. I like the removable cover at the top so that I can calibrate my Monitor easily. Very happy.

Absolute waste of time, fiddly to put together, expensive for three bits of plastic, cant recommend it

It helps but is not all that secure, it fall off regularly.

Just to say this was not really useable on my 27" iMac. The description is misleading because both amazon & supplier blurb states 15-27" monitor, but then if you read further it states 15-26". I phoned the supplier, and they advised it might just work for an iMac 27" but would probably need some glue as panels only 'just' fit into each other - actually, we're talking of a mere fraction of an inch, and I could not make them push in enough at all. The hood just sort of sits there, very insecurely, and just moving the monitor angle caused it to move, and the sides moved about. Another problem I noticed is that on the right hand side it is just not possible to use the cd/dvd slot, or the camera card slot, so to load photos or play a cd/dvd you'd have to remove the hood, meaning it would fall apart and you'd have to start again - this is the sort of info that should be given This really is not an option for 27", although the product itself seems ok, and probably fine on smaller monitors - but...even if you have a 21" iMac for example, please be aware that you will not have access to side cd/dvd/camera card slots I haven't looked at it closely, but Photodon have a 27" imac version, and it looks as if it's made for iMac, as it does have side cutout for access to slots

I recently bought a Dell 25 inch 4K HD monitor to link to my MacBook Pro and found that the ambient lighting was just to bright. Looked online and found this to be slightly cheaper than PC and Photography stores. Easy to assemble and attach to monitor, the result is fantastic. Not cheap but well worth it. Arrived within 48 hours. Had product tracking and email notification of arrival time within the nearest 20 minutes, unlike some online sellers... Highly recommend.
