I’ve been loving this nutritional yeast! The 2-pound bag is a great value, especially if you use it regularly like I do. I specifically wanted non-fortified yeast because I prefer getting my B vitamins from whole foods and supplements I can control, not synthetic additives. This gives me peace of mind, especially since I’m mindful about my nutrient sources. The flavor is nutty and savory, perfect for sprinkling on popcorn, pasta, mixing into sauces, or adding to any meal or snack for more flavor. Plus, it’s packed with vegan protein and naturally occurring B vitamins, making it a clean, high-quality pantry staple. Highly recommend if you’re looking for nutritional yeast without the extras.

This brand of nooch has excellent taste, consistency and color. It's delicious and delightful. I've been 110% vegan and eaten only organic foods for over 45 years, and I highly recommend it! Nooch, I have eaten virtually every day of that long stretch of time, and discovered through trial and error that different brands of nutritional yeast vary quite a bit from one another. So when you find a particularly good one, make it your mainstay. This one is DEFINITELY a keeper!

I’m not a vegan by any means, actually almost the opposite. But anytime I can replace a seasoning with something healthy, I’ll do it. This stuff is advertised as having a buttery and cheesy flavor, and it definitely smells delicious. Has a very buttery and slightly cheesy smell, I’m sure it would be delicious on popcorn. The flavor is more subtle though, I was expecting a flavor punch. This is more of a flavor nudge. To me, anyway. I haven’t used it for popcorn personally, I add it to soups to give them a little more flavor, and a lot more nutrients. This has a decent amount of fiber and a lot of protein. So I use it as more of a nutritional supplement, and the seasoning is secondary. This also has a lot of potassium and not very much sodium, so it’s good for keeping those electrolyte ratios in line as well, especially if you’re adding it to something that already has a decent amount of salt in it like I am. I specifically wanted an unfortified version of nutritional yeast since I already take all my vitamin and mineral supplements separately, and I wanted to be able to add as much of this as I wanted to for extra flavor and the protein/fiber, so this ended up being perfect for me. The texture of this is more like small flakes than a powder, kinda like a flaky fish food. So it probably won’t work in a normal salt shaker. You’d need one with larger holes if you wanted to use it in a shaker, like one for chili flakes. Also very important to me for any of these things that come in a resealable bag - the one they use for this is great. Reseals easily to keep fresh with no issues. So you don’t have to worry about putting it into a different container like some of these other companies that use really cheap bags that never reseal.

Large flakes, tasty, not as flavorful as the fortified ones but I was told that the non-fortified is a healthier option for optimally absorption of b-vitamins.

I saw a video about nutritional yeast as an alternative to Parmesan cheese for those like myself who are lactose intolerant. After deciding which one to try, I opted for this one. I loved it so much that I am a repeat consumer. It is absolutely delicious. It adds a special flavor & taste to my daily salad. Knowing it is organic, you know it has quality ingredients.

Knocked off a star because it's hard to believe it's that much more expensive to produce this than the non-organic. More than twice as much per pound. Maybe has to do with various scale of production issues? Just feels like price gouging/gentrification of organic food. It's great having a non-fortified option, and even without the synthetic vitamins, this nutritional yeast is naturally rich in nutrients. I have been buying this product for years, but because of the price, we still buy a lot of the non-organic, too. Perhaps we all should listen to Russell Blaylock regarding excitoxins, and not have this kind of food in our homes, anyway. The taste is good, but can take an adjustment in expectations vs. the taste of the more readily available Red Star fortified/non-organic. Everyone in the family is used to it now, and some prefer it.

Got this in 2lbs for less than the 8oz bags I have been using. Slighly more yellow in color and both are great on eggs!! I use these for a full scope of B vitamins and I love the texture on my eggs and avocado in the morning. All natural ingredients and very healthy. Seems to be a good brand, easy to use and works well for my needs. At this price, it’s more than fair. I highly recommend.

I used to purchase nutritional yeast flakes for my dog's food in bulk locally , from various Health foo or grocery stores. Then came Covid, and they all stopped carrying food in bulk. That's when I started getting it by mail order from Amazon. I've tried a few different brands, but find these Organic Nutritional Flakes to be the best Quality, and are sold at a good price. They flakes remain fresh and crisp as I use them over a two to three month time frame. Even though Bulk sales have returned, I still haven't found a store with yeast flakes, and am so glad to have found this brand that I can easily obtain through Amazon, and will probably continue doing so even if or when they yeast flakes become common again in local stores.
