Its the genuine original ink, if you don't want any problems later. You could save a little bit on ink with generics, but you should get your best print quality with the original ink. I've never had any problems in quality or with the printer caused by the ink itself, sticking with the original. I've had other problems & head cleaning issues, but I believe that is more due to my rather light use of the printer. I stick with the standard capacity because I only print a little bit each month. You can get the high-capacity cartridge with about double the capacity, but just do the math to see if it is a savings (which may depend on current sale price), or perhaps just for convenience. If you buy a printer for its print quality, or read reviews that rate their print quality, remember that is with the printer engineered for its mechanics and ink. It isn't like buying generic medicine that is the exact same active ingredients.

I use a lot of these cartridges when writing Wedding Ceremonies and this is the best price that I have found.

If you have an Epson WorkForce printer that uses this particular ink cartridge it's either this one or the same cartridge with extra capacity from Epson. Why? Well, besides the perils of OEM compatible ink (i.e.may foul your printer if it even works) in this particular line of printers you simply can't buy OEM compatible ink. You have to stick with genuine Epson ink cartridges. I'd say even if you're big on saving money this isn't a deal-killer for those considering buying a WorkForce printer if you've yet to do so. The reason is the quality of the print these printers produce with this excellent ink is worth the small extra cost of only using premium Epson ink with a precision printer such as The WorkForce WF-4640. The ink is, I'm sure, formulated just for the technology used in these printers and to use less could not just reduced the quality of the printed page, which is laser-like, but could cause the printer to succumb to an early demise. That said the ink is not cheap, yet is affordable enough for the excellent results and peace of mind. If it was cheaper it would easily rate a 5, so only 1-point docked for the cost which, as stated, seems to be worth knowing your investment in the printer itself is providing the maximum quality it is capable of. BTW, Amazon has an even lower price today than when I last purchased it which is always good

It's ink. But it's EPSON DURABRITE ink. And that DOES make a difference. If you were to scour my reviews, I'm sure I've mentioned it before that I won't use anything but an Epson, partly because they make fine printers, and partly because I like the ink. It dries better and faster than anything else (available for consumers.) This cartridge goes in my WF4640 and this is the easiest ink cartridge I've ever replaced!

I know we all don't like the high cost of printer ink but I do feel like I get my moneys worth in this one. I have found this ink to be excellent quality and even the regular one as this is (not the XL) lasts me a long time. These are the things I appreciate most in an ink cartridge.

This Epson "T786120 DURABrite Ultra Standard-Capacity Ink Cartridge, Black" is the correct black ink cartridge for my Epson WF-4630 and WF-4640 printers. I prefer to use Epson factory cartridges due to compatibility and quality issues from 3rd party manufacturers. These cartridges last a reasonable amount of time and always produce great results. Didn't get very many copies out of it! Only made about as many as the initial carts that came with the printer. New carts should do more!
