Good quality and value
Good quality and value. I used this to back sweeten a batch of mead. I like this for that purpose because it adds no flavor, just sweetness.

Low Glycemic Index, Tastes Great in Coffee, Easy to Pour
There is a plethora of information - as well as mis-information - out there about agave nectar. You have to keep in mind that this is a sugar, and as such, it's best not to consume a lot of it. I use Wholesome Sweeteners Fair Trade Organic Blue Agave Nectar and I love it! PROS: Taste-wise this is the closest thing to white sugar that I've tried. Spoon for spoon, agave is sweeter than sugar so I use less (2 tsp of agave does the trick of 3 tsp of white sugar). I do not notice any difference in how my coffee tastes. This has a low glycemic Index of 15. (Stevia is 0, honey is 50, table sugar is around 68.) As a diabetic, my blood sugar no longer spikes up 25 points after I have my coffee. That last point is my main reason for using agave. I am a diabetic and I need to have my coffee! People, doctors, scientists, bloggers, and "Miss Know-It-Alls" on social media have many opinions about using this. Some are saying it's bad for you, that it raises triglycerides. So does sugar! With all things, moderation is key. I went from having 3-4 coffees a day with 3 tsps of sugar in each, to having one cup of coffee with 2 tsp of agave. My triglycerides have actually come way down - due to a combination of several factors: cutting way back on sugars and carbs, eating more fiber and getting more exercise. MORE PROS: It tastes sweet and does not leave any aftertaste. The pop-open lid and pour spout give you easy control over how much you use. The liquid is about the same consistency as lite maple syrup, a lot thinner than honey. You can check out their website for discounts on buying in bigger quantities, and you can sign up to receive specials. You can use this in baking (in reduced amounts). CONS: As with all things sweet, if you consume too much it has the potential to be bad for you. For me, this is an excellent product and I highly recommend it -in moderation- to others
