Great performance out of the box
Overall, this is great mid-range setup. Be patient and let Windows do the updating.Coming from an AMD FX-8350 with a 1060GPU, this is a huge step up. First time not building my own PC.I don't game, mostly mild photo editing, MS Office automation, PowerShell and Databases, MySQL/MSSQL.No issues applying BIOS and Window updates. Installed MSOfficePro-2021 and transferred the license with no issues. No issues letting the PC run for a week without powering off.One disappointment is the primary SSD drive for the OS, it's a WesternDigital (WD) Gen3 M2 SSD. The Read Speed was only 2500MBs.As is, this unit just works, great performance out of the box.Memory and Storage are inexpensive right now. After owning for 3 weeks, replaced the WesternDigital SSD with a 2TB NVMe Samsung 980 Pro with heatsink SSD Drive. Did a Windows 11 clean Install using the Microsoft Media Creation Tool. No issues, needed to download the Intel RST SSD Driver. Got mine from the HP website. CrystalDiskMark shows 7000MBs Read and 5200MBs Write, confirming it's a PCIe X4 slot.Added a second NVMe SSD for general storage, a Crucial P3 Plus 4TB PCIe Gen4, with an added heatsink. Read speeds are the advertised 5000MBs. As mentioned, the second PCIe X4 slot is under the Graphics Card. This PC came with 16gigs (2x8) of HyperX Fury RGB XMP memory. The colors are nice, but meaningless when the cover is on. There is no XMP setting in the BIOS. The JEDEC table from the CPU-ID application implied this memory was running at 1.2 volts, 1596MHz Clock speed, with a CL Latency of 22. Had an issue trying to add 64gig, 1.2v, of Crucial DDR4 3200 memory, for 80gigs total. The Clock speed dropped to 1466MHz. Ended up using only the 64gigs of Crucial memory at 1.2 volts, getting the same Clock speed of 1596MHz, and CL Latency of 22. As mentioned in other forums, you may have issues when you mix and match XMP and non-XMP memory.MEMORY lesson 101: DDR4-3200 operates at a 1600Mhz "Clock speed". The "double data rate" becomes 3200Mhz. Both the HyperX and Crucial Memory were operating at their advertised 3200Mhz speeds, which is Clock speed (1596) Times 2.There is still one open SATA drive bay for either an SSD or Dinosaur HDD.Yes, I would purchase this PC again.EDIT: One Year Review:All good, all stable. No issues, no broken parts, no overheating, no regrets. That open SATA drive now has a 4TB Crucial SSD. Total PC storage is 10TB across three SSD drives.I also use M.2/NVMe to USB SSD Enclosure Readers for more 'near storage' space. My only complaint is that all of the SuperSpeed USB Type-C 10Gbps ports are located on the back of the PC, not on the top front panel. The USB ports on top are 5Gbs. Minor complaint, but worth noting for others.

USB's will randomly power down, causing a complete lock up.
Bought this computer, excited for finding a good solid value. When it runs, it is a fine machine, doing everything I need to it to do. But it crashes, a lot. The USB's will randomly shut down, causing the computer to lock up, the keyboard and mouse going completely useless. Tried looking for every fix under the sun, contacting HP support (Which honestly was a waste of time) tried 40 different fixes. But the problem stayed no matter what I did. Returning it for another one, hoping this is just a problem with this machine only. Will update the review once the new one comes in and I get it up and running for a few days. Also want to add that Amazon support was super helpful, refunding me the price allowing me to buy it again. Heres to hoping it is just a bad machine from the factory.

100% recommended
Excellent. HP takes care of every detail. My son has been using it for over a year without any problems. I had to upgrade the RAM to 48 MB DDR3 to improve gaming performance, but the change was easy and compatible with the memory I purchased. The HD is 1 TB and fell short, so I added another disk without any problems. Ideal performance and continues to work without any problems. 100% recommended.

Cinco de mayooooo
I bought this during May when my past hp laptop finally hit the bucket with not having a good C drive/external harddrive issues. I was hesitant to change brands since I liked my laptop, and also buying from Amazon, but this was a GREAT deal at the time considering it had everything I was looking for at suspiciously good price. The 1 tb harddrive, nvidia graphics card and Intel 9 was my bucketlist, and this has it. I was sketched out I could buy a pc from Amazon but decided to say screw it cause I had just gotten a credit card and decided well, imma get credit anyway. Thank goodness I did cause this bad boy was the best Cinco de mayo present ever. I noticed a huge difference in game graphics, speed, EVERYTHING. I'm glad it arrived safely and working. It's organs also glow RAINBOW!My few cons are:Delivered in hp box, not Amazon. Thankfully I live in the middle of nowhere but if this was just left on a doorstep that's free dibs for robbersWindows 11 is a learning curve from windows 10, I had to adjust EVERYTHING from audio to screenshot buttons to basic interface, made things frustrating and complicated rather than efficient imo, have to manually update many thingsDidn't come with a manual? Thought that was unusual. Easy set up thoughOverall, I can run substance painter/zbrush/games like fortnite/skyrim/ elder scrolls well and quietly.

Good Computer needs more than 1 pcie slot.
After loading Adobe Printshop 12 the system locked up. I tried to use the recovery disk and The computer asked for a Bitlock Key Code. I didn't have a key code . I was able to use Aomet Partition Assistant and delete all partitions including the one with the Key Code. Then create new partitions and format and was able to use the recovery disk. Each drive in your system has a Bitlock recovery key. You need to find the Recovery codes for all your drives so you can unlock the drives when you need to repair drives. Print the numbers and save them. You will need them one day.Bitlock Key lookupCMD as admin or Command prompt as adminType manage-bde -protectors -get c:C: drive letter so change to D: for D driveKeypass code will be the password 48 digit numbers.
