Very heavy duty, good quality
Was very surprised at the ease of installation and the quality of the product. We are senior citizens, this product makes it much easier to get in and out of our tub. Glad we purchased it. Very affordable

Buy this! NOT just for seniors!
This would benefit kids, pregnant gals and anyone with mobility issues, as well as seniors! I'm 64 and wish I had this 20 years ago! Simple review: IT WORKS, buy it! Detailed review: Clamp has a padded hinged side (the side that goes inside the tub) which adapts to the slant on the tub side. The side on the outside of the tub is padded as well. No scratching of acrylic tubs! This grab bar stays firmly in place, no jiggling. I feel very secure using this! It is easy install (no wrench needed) and a single easy-grip handle to tighten (even with arthritis). Height is adjustable and simple to change, if needed. Height is excellent for most people. I am 5'2" and found it perfect to hold while stepping out of the tub (I have it set at its tallest level). Rubberized grip on top of handle is non-slip (I tried it with soapy hands) and comfortable. It is very white, powder-coated steel. The grip is black. It is narrow-ish, a bonus when getting in or out of the tub (no "catching" a foot!). But, easy for holding onto. It is pretty neutral-looking, not a too-obvious assist device! Certainly better-looking than a body, sprawled on the floor! I am 64 and getting into using safety assists, now, so that they will be an ingrained habit as I age. Sure keeps the kids happy!

Easy to install and very sturdy
This is a very sturdy and well-made item. I used it while my 90-year-old mother was visiting, and it was a good investment. This was good for her to get in and out of the tub. Once in place it does not move. I removed it after she left, and it did not scratch my tub. I plan to keep it since I may need it myself someday. :)

Affordable, Strong, and Exactly What We Needed
I bought this grab bar because it was the most cost-effective option I could find on Amazon—and honestly, I’m impressed. It looks, feels, and holds just like the more expensive brands. Solid construction, no wobble, and it gives reliable support. We installed it to help my elderly parent get in and out of the bathtub safely, and it’s been a huge help. It’s sturdy, easy to grip, and gives everyone more peace of mind. Great value for the price—there’s no reason to pay more for the same performance.

Easy to install, but not good for all tubs
As a renter, I couldn’t install a wall mounted grab bar. This is quite heavy, to the point that if dropped, it could damage tile or break toes, so someone with good balance should do the install. It’s simple to mount, just slip it onto the tub edge where you want it, and tighten the clamps. There is padding on the side of the clamps. It’s thin, but it does protect the tub’s finish. I do not recommend putting a cloth or towel between the tub and the clamps because it could cause the bar to slip. The weight makes it feel sturdy, and it’s slim enough to fit in tighter spaces, and be almost unnoticeable behind a shower curtain. The build quality seems good, nothing bends or bows under steady weight or pressure. I do not recommend it for fiberglass tubs, as a tight fit or too much pulling might crack the tub. In order to stay put, it needs to have the clamps torqued pretty tight. Bathtubs with angled sides might also be an issue because even a slight angle might alter the grip integrity of the clamps or make the grab bar stick out awkwardly.

Sturdy is what you will get with this item
Great item all around. I wish it was a little taller but it works for my purposes. Easy to install and it doesn't slip or really move around. It's sturdy so when you hold onto it, you won't feel it tremble. Such a lifesaving device, you won't ever fear falling from the tub. This item will make you feel safe as you move around the tub. For people with balance issues, handicap, elderly, this is not only necessary but it's built to last a long time.

arrived rusty
Arrived rusty all over - some stains couldn't be removed. They don't paint the inside of the tube and during shipping this rust got all over everything. It was hard to put one tube inside the other as it was a very tight fit. The adjustment hole sealing rubber grommets were too small so I'll have to wrap with silicone tape to keep water out of the tube holes. The grip pads are only sort of sticky so you have to really tighten on the knob to get it stable. The main tension screw is stainless which is good. The weld quality was better than average but still had weld pin holes that didn't hold the paint. The plate that pulls against the tub was warped from welding (cupped) so it is hard to get the full pad to grip the tub.
