Hozelock 60m Cart With 50m Multipurpose Hose

Had the hose for 3-4 months now, purchased in July 2023. I'm glad I spent the extra £20 to get this fully assembled hose reel. Also glad it's light weight. When I initially took it out of the box I couldn't see the extra fittings, then realised the instructions were on the cardboard thing that you have to remove it. The instructions are via diagrams that even I could follow. You have to initially unwind the hose to get to the fittings that's inside the drum. That was a bit difficult to remove due to how it was taped in, but I managed to get it out. As per the diagram you should cut 1.5m off the hose to put it on the tap/water supply, but I had a spare bit from my old hose for this, but the instructions show you need to cut 1.5m off the hose! The extra connectors are of good quality. I like the long handle. The handle to lift is adjustable for height, and it's easy to move around. Only downside I'd say is the quality of the hose doesn't feel great, but hopefully because of winding it up in the reel it will be OK. It can sometimes get tangled up when winding it back, and sometimes is a bit difficult, but I can live with that, and get some exercise. Overall for £70 you can't complain imo

Easy assembly- thanks to previous reviewer’s advice to consult You Tube on the key internal connection and installation of the spring. Well made and quite sturdy for the price. Let’s see how it performs over time!

Four stars because on one hand I think it’s a good unit. The hose is reasonable for the price point and the reel rolls up nicely compared to others. The little water saving valve that stops water coming out when there’s no head on the end of the hose sucks and when you are trying to water the garden the end attachment sometimes does depress the valve which impacts the flow making it weak. I pulled it out with some pliers and turned it into a fixe star, but that’s my mod, not the manufacturers so it remains a solid 4 stars.

Brilliant hosepipe set up. 30m no twisting or snagging. Sturdy plastic reel on a light frame. Very portable. Fittings are great no drips or leakages. A variety of sprays and an lock on the nozzle. I am very pleased with this product. It was affordable and works well.

I bought this cart reel and hose to replace an old hozelock hose which I’ve had for almost 10 years. I eventually settled for the 50 metre hose with the cart. The hose is good quality and the cart reel helps to keep the hose tidy when not in use. The package comes with all fittings for connecting to an outdoor tap. It also has a basic nozzle which can be adjusted between a jet and spray. You do need to cut about a metre and a half of hose to attach the water supply to the cart. The long reach of the hose is great and it’s so handy being able to unwind the right length of hose I need. The reel keeps the hose tangle free and tidy. It’s much easier than wrapping the hose around my arm to coil it up. The cart is an aluminium frame with a reel, and two plastic wheels. The cart is already assembled. The frame serves as a handle, which makes it easy to manoeuvre cart. Attached to frame is a holster for the hose nozzle. My favourite feature is the holster for holding the nozzle. It’s simple, but makes for a great way to keep it tidy. I’m pleased with this long reach hose. It has made it easier for me to water plants, wash garden furniture and wash the car. No regrets about this purchase. Fantastic.

As with some other reviewers, assembly instructions definitely 'could be better', especially for fitting the support spring (a sheet with clearer detais would be a welcome improvement, although hopefully I won't need to assemble another one!), and some of the bits are a bit stiff to push together. Also, I got a 50m Ultimate hose to g on it - 60m of hose would, I think, need to be wound extremely carefully to get it to fit. Winding the 50m carefully is OK, and definitely coils easier with water in it, although that does make it heavier. Filling it with water before first winding it on is also likely to be tricky. If I had thought about it, I would have put the new hose on something where I could unwind it from the coil, but hindsight is a wonderful teacher LOL. Also, it includes two 'standard' hose fittings to go on the ends of the feeder hose from the tap, but NOT the water-stop connector to go on the hose end. Having assembled it all, It feels quite sturdy, rolls nicely, and the hose unwinds and winds quite easily. Too soon to say what the lngevity will be, but the old hose cart (not Hozelock) was showing signs of old age after well over 20 years service (the hose had also started to suffer as well ...) so the 5-year warranty will, I hope, never have to be applied! All in all a good product, assembly could be easier, and the assembly instructions could definitely do with spending a few extra pence to include a more detailed sheet in the box.

Relieved that this item was as described. Easy to put together and to use although it is a heavy item to pick up so always use the wheels. Handle rather low for my husband but suits me. Only four stars because if you have extended the hose a long way it has a tendency to kink and you need to check the kink is released before rewinding. Overall though very pleased.

A good hose reel which keeps our garden tidy.

J' ai acheté cet article parce que le mien a cassé après plus de 10 ans de bon et loyaux services. Celui ci me semble robuste ; bonne facture et bien proportionné. En tout cas, il me plait bien !!! Nota: J' ai apprécié le porte pistolet réglage sur l' arceau de transport.
