Is this a "monofloral" product? I cannot tell from description. Or is this a given with Comvita products?

The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) is a NZ government department that oversees the agricultural sector, which Manuka is included in. MPI has set a definition for what is mono floral and multi flora Manuka. UMF is the quality and grading system that we apply to our 5+ and above Manuka Honey. In order for us to label UMF we must specifically meet the MPI definition of mono floral. Any honey from Comvita (and UMF) 5+ and above is monofloral Manuka, as defined by the NZ government.

Is there any difference between the black color and red color jar?

Hi, thanks for your question. Comvita North America has a different label than the rest of the world and often times Comvita's UK or Australian (red and black images) will show up on Amazon listings. As long as you're buying from Comvita or Amazon you'll be assured to get dark brown and gold North America product. Regardless of label, it is in fact the same product in the jar.

Can this be used on an open cut ?
