Excellent. Way better than any of the wooden seats I've had over the last decades! Easy to fix from the top and totally stable. Would recommend this to anyone.

Nice shade of white which sits well in an off white bathroom. I like the fact that this is a wooden seat but looks clean and fresh. It appears to be ethically sourced so appeals to me and my own ethics. I thought being wooden it would be warmer to sit on but it still holds the cold, and in a tiled bathroom it can get a bit chilly! Found it very easy to fit. I started screwing the bolts from the bottom but they started to catch on the toilet bowl, so the screws are designed to be tightened from the top too (so don't fold down the little flaps until its fitted), a brilliant idea! The little flaps fold down to cover over the screws and make it look neat and tidy. Its been in place a couple of weeks now and it hasn't budged with a varying array of person sizes. I've had seats in the past that slip to the side and feel unbalanced but this one just sits there neatly doing it's job, with no unwanted surprises. It hasn't picked up any stains or discolouration and wipes clean easily. I only use Method cleaning products so nothing harsh. I had another toilet seat to replace and thought I would try something more budget, wasted my money, should have bought another of these. Best price and quality I could find I think!

I asked the Amazon community: "Is it easy to remove this seat when (eventually!) it has to be replaced? Answers: "It went on easy enough so I cant see why it shouldn't easily be removed when needed to." Another "Easy to fit - will be just as easy to remove" And another "Two adjustable screw threads easy to fix and easy to remove." And one more "Yes, untighten 2x wingnuts and replace. However, these are quality seats so should last many years." That last comment is the only answer out of the 9 I received that has some truth in it! I was replacing this after 10 years which has to be good. But it is just because it lasts that it is so difficult to remove! You cannot every week or year clean the gunk under the hinge without completely removing the seat! See my photos! The gunk unfortunately makes the screw that went in so easily 10 years ago a real pain to remove. It is very long as you can see from my pictures. Unnecessarily long by a long way I would say. You need a flat-head srewdriver with a good size head. You have to hold the nut underneath and then the screwdriver constantly slips out of its slot so it is a very long process to turn about 25 times to disconnect such a long screw. Towards the end it becomes easier and the nut can be hand turned. If you have a bad back as I have you can do this only a few minutes at a time. It could easily take an hour to do. It is no fun at all. Don't let this stop you buying this seat. The paint on mine still a lot better than some reviews would have you think. It would have been 5 stars if the screws had been a lot shorter and easier to remove! You will certainly enjoy your times sitting on it!

I bought this to replace a very cheap Homebase toilet seat. The previous one was horrible; the hinges were a nightmare to attach, the seat ended up wobbly and in the end the hinges and bolts rusted. Yuck! This Bemis toilet seat is completely the opposite. It was SO easy to attach - it literally took less than two minutes. The nuts and bolts supplied are (good quality) plastic so they won't rust. To attach the seat, all you need to do is line the holes in the seat to the holes in the toilet bowl, pop the bolt through, and then hold the small handle-thing on the nut while screwing the bolt in tightly. Once on, the seat looks good and is sturdy. The hinges are just right - the lid opens and shuts easily, but doesn't randomly fall down. The seat looks nice (or as nice as a loo seat can look...). Very pleased with this.

Arrived very quickly. Size as posted on amazon website were accurate which was important as so many seats we saw in diy stores were too big and would have overlapped the toilet bowl and would have looked ridiculous. Easy to fit diagrams. Easy to clean. Only time will tell if it lasts but at this moment in time, good value for money and appears well made and once fitted remains firmly in place and is comfortable. There are two fitting positions, we used the longest reach setting which matched perfectly for our loo bowl which I would estimate as an average size.

Fantastic no movement toilet seat, so easy to fit, just a plastic type screw and bolt, you can hold screw steady from the top (as it has flaps that lift up) so all you need to do is tighten the nut whilst holding the screw tight from above- you can unpac and fit in 10 mins. Quality seat. Beware staning - you have to wipe any ‘spills or drips) as soon as or it will stain, use a non bleach cleaner - this is my second as I didn’t adhere to the easy staining. By far the best toilet seat I have had - just make sure you are rigorous with the cleaning

I did a lot of research on good toilet seats and read lots of reviews. I decided to go with a more mid-level cost and well-known brand. This seat went on quickly and fits well, is secure and is comfortable. However, it stained really badly, really quickly. I've tried to scrub/cleaning eraser the stains off, but that was a mistake and it took the paint off. I tried to bleach it, but this was too harsh and turned the pain yellow in stripes where the bleach touched. I would include photos but I think it's too gross and personal. I'm going to have to replace it now and I think I'll give in and get a plastic one this time around. What a waste of money and time. Such a shame.

Der WC-Sitz ist sauber verarbeitet - keine Kratzer, keine Schrammen. Die Scharniere sind zwar aus Kunststoff, wirken aber sehr solide und stabil. Befestigungsmaterial liegt bei, die Montage ist einfach. Ich habe den Sitz später noch einmal nachgekauft. Den ersten Sitz habe ich nun seit einigen Wochen in Gebrauch - kein Wackeln, kein Quietschen, leicht zu Reinigen und bei Nutzung längst nicht so kalt wie ein WC-Sitz aus Kunststoff. Perfekt! Hinweis: Der WC-Sitz passt nicht für langgestreckte oder kreisrunde WC-Schüsseln, sondern für klassische Standard-WCs. Die Maße stehen in der Produktbechreibung, es empfiehlt sich vorheriges Ausmessen :-)

1) vraiment parfait, belle qualité, belle couleur blanche, confortable, très facile à poser, vis en plastique donc ne rouillent pas, double position et écartement pour visser donc s'adapte forcément à n'importe quelle cuvette 2) deux tous petits défauts, sans gravité : d'une part la fente de la vis est trop mince pour visser avec une pièce de monnaie donc il faut un très grand tournevis pour serrer (moi par exemple le goupillon en dessous bute un peu sur un bord de la cuvette donc je suis obligé de finir le serrage par la vis au dessus), et d'autre part il faut mettre un petit patin (petite rondelle autocollante) sur la cuvette d'eau pour éviter que le couvercle de la lunette fasse du bruit en cognant dessus lorsqu'on le relève
