The latches on the lids are hinged - unlike similar products that have flexible plastic. The flexible plastic does not survive a trip through the freeze-thaw cycle because the plastic becomes very brittle when frozen. This product has hinged latches that do not fracture when they are frozen - unless you intentionally try to break them. Any plastic will fracture if you stress it too much when at low temps.I like that I can take these out of the freezer, pop the latches & remove the lid, and heat in the microwave whatever was frozen. I've used the other containers and have had several latches fracture when taking the lid off prior to heating.This product has a nice selection of different sizes so that it's easy to find the right size for the amount of food prepared or left over.Very functional and meets all of the expectations I have for containers that I can use to prepare and freeze dishes for later or use to save leftovers without having the food either pick up odors from the refrigerator or permeate the refrigerator with any odors from a strongly seasoned dish. Be aware that they are glass and will shatter if you happen to drop them on a hard surface.Highly recommended!

These are great quality containers that seal extremely well!! I am very pleased with the variety of sizes and how well the containers seal and keep food fresh. Unfortunately, one piece that I really wanted arrived broken even though the packaging was excellent. I accepted the loss because I already unwrapped all of the pieces and didn't want to send the whole set back for one piece. Just make sure you don't have any broken pieces before you unwrap all of it from the cushioning. Would still buy again!

Something must be said about the quality packing job that was done. It went beyond the minimal padding protection in the box. Each container had shrink wrap on the tops. Removed the tops and there's another plastic layer that sat between the container and lid. The there was cardboard surrounding the outside of the containers to protect the glass. One of the medium containers slipped from my hand on to the counter and surpringly did not chip. It fell about 6in or so with the top corner hitting first and nothing chipped.The tops look to scratch easily but that has no bearing on my review. The seals are easy to remove for cleaning which is nice but im curious to see if they hold up where they are glued. Now let's see how the seals and glass hold up over time!

This package is a great value for the money. I like using glass containers because they can double as both a dish and storage; the true test is the lids - sometimes with these types of containers, the plastic lids can be cheap/low quality but these are very sturdy and well-made. There are tons of sizes included in the set as well; I'd say this is comparable in quality to ones I've bought from brand-names at Costco, but they're a less expensive so great value.

Easy to store as they stack into each other; however after using them for about a year and storing them that way; they have begun to chip quite a bit. Even then, they still work well and I much prefer them over plastic.

As these arrive today packaged extremely well with a lot of care. I absolutely love the sizes the variety and they are leakproof. They go great with your decor. They have some wonderful colors you can pick from. I actually bought a second set of these. I was so thrilled with the first..

These are great storage containers! The lids snap on easily and keep the food fresh. They are microwave safe as well. They do not leak…great seal on the lid.

Quantity/Quality/Price OUTSTANDING. Lid closure, a snap and doesn't leak. I just threw out all my plastic purchases and plastic containers after reading how detrimental the microwaving and using them even for freezing is due to the chemicals. So I filled my trash can and opened up room for this set. They are dishwasher and microwavable. I like them far too much that I don't want to even take a chance on covers. They wash so easily and dry quickly. But yes...now I am freezing food in the covered glassware and place removeable white tape with Item Name and Date on the cover. No more stained recycled cheap plastic. You get three sets with matching covers. Each set has nesting bowls of different sizes (five bowls per set). They have the round set, the square set and the rectangular set. GREAT BUY or GIFT.
