Having moved here from America, I had many 110v tools and to be fair there is a great selection of them out there still that are cheaper from America than here in the UK, but that is neither here nor there. This is exactly what I needed to run my woodworking tools in my little garage work shop and doesn't make the humming noises that are so irritating in the household versions of this (and cheaper too!). It's powerful, well made, and shockingly heavy. Probably one of the best buys I have made and will potentially be buying a second one for the other end of the work shop so I don't have to move this around.

I wanted a 110V transformer to power a US made jukebox (with no earth connection) and some old US radios. This transformer is ideal for my application. With its centre-tapped secondary winding, the jukebox is isolated from the 230V European mains and perfectly safe, even though it has no earth connection itself. The transformer can provide far more power than the jukebox needs, so a huge safety factor there. The price is very reasonable, less than some transformers of far less power handling capacity. It is very robustly made.

Bought for work. In my company can I have a 110v generator and a few large pieces of equipment that are supposed to run off it. Unfortunately the generator is large awkward to move and buried under mounds of other equipment. Luckily the van also has a 240v socket, that's where the transformer comes in, with a 50m extension lead it powers a small compressor and a submerged water pump with ease, and I've no problem with carrying it around either.

Very good 110 transformer

Having looked around for a 110v heavy duty transformer, this one jumped out as having a high rating, dual sockets and excellent price compared to many others. UK supplier, not a cheap import. Arrived quicker than expected and performs flawlessly. Great product/supplier!

Great transformer. As good as any I’ve ever had and cheaper. It also has a light to show when it’s on, that’s useful.

According to it's weight it should be good quality and heavy duty. Actually good thing when you moved back in Europe from North America and brought a lot of American stuff that doesn't work with 230V. I made few adaptors from British industrial to NEMA outlets and now it used for espresso machine, saw, hairdryer and etc. Also replaced British plug to regular EU.
