Great
After the purchases of a Optoma HD141X projector I had discovered that it became worryingly hot. As a result of this I had decided to get a cooling fan in hopes of it counteracting the heat. Therefor I chose the N7 TECKNET cooling fan. One of the main reasons why I had decided on this practically cooling fan was because of its 6 fan capacity, which I assumed would mean it would be very effective and I thought the lighting added to the experience, however i did experience something I hadn't considered before, which I'll cover later. But first I'd like to start with the positives. The first and probably most import was that I noticed a drop in overall temperature, however not to the point where there was no heat, in fact it was still quite hot, however it was no longer in danger of over heating and offered peace of mind. As I said earlier I was very impressed with the blue LED lighting the device included. However you should consider if your going to be using this at night or in a dark room, as there seems to be no apparent way of turning these off and I found them to be very detracting. The noise level of the fan is very low, almost inaudible in comparison to others I've seen, yet I was quiet disappointed with the power of the fan, I'm aware that this would most probably increase the sound level of the fan, however I feel that this would have been a acceptable compromise. The fan is mounted on a stand that has adjustable angles available which I found very useful when using the fan for my laptop, the recommended device that is suppose to be used in conjunction with the cooling fan, however is not limited nor required to. Another thing I thought was a great idea to include was a extra USB port which allowed you to power it from either side and gives you an extra port for changing another device for example. My overall views on this device were very positive and true, I would have liked to see a more powerful fan, I could recommend this product highly. N7 - BRILLIANT product!..BRILLIANT customer services!
Re: N7 TeckNet Laptop Cooling Pad With 6 Fans I purchased this laptop cooler as my other cooler was/is too small for the 17" I bought last year. It was a delight to use right from the start because it is significantly lighter than my other laptop cooler, but more importantly for me, was how it runs significantly quieter than my other cooler despite having 6 fans! (my other cooler has only 2 fans)...equally important was the reduction in cpu running temperatures in all of my PCs (a mac, and three PCs (a 12", a 15", and a 17")...my old laptop cooler is now effectively redundant as each time I use it, the noise level alone makes it too irritating to use! I was worried that the TeckNet cooler may be a bit too small for my 17" PC, but it supports it perfectly. And at first I thought the 6 fans was overkill, but in truth, they cover whatever PC I'm using in terms of the placement of the fans in relation to the placement of the laptop cpu/fan placement, and imagine that is partially why the cooler is so effective in reducing the cpu running temperature. As an added benefit, when using my 12", I am able to place the external usb drive on the side of the PC on the cooler (I use anti slip mat under the external drive to stop it slipping), and now I am able to move the laptop and external drive as one unit (ie by simply moving the cooler), and my 'accidental' 'disconnects' from the usb connections are now history too! So imagine how disappointed I was when one of the fans stopped working....but what a surprise the response was from the Hippidion customer services. I used the 'Ask the seller a question' (or something like that - in the link of the order in my order history), to inform the seller the item was faulty, and to upload a video showing the lights still working and the faulty fan, and without any hesitation, the seller shipped a replacement that literally arrived days later!...and was I glad to be back up and running again with my TeckNet!...and it's been running like a dream now for a few weeks...what can I say, BRILLIANT product!....and equally important...BRILLIANT customer services! No hesitation in recommending!

Almost.... almost perfect
I was initially impressed with the cooling pad. It came a day early, was double boxed and had bubble wrap protection around the pad. On taking it out it looked exactly as it was advertised. Quite a slick device, for the price. I've completed a few tests. Both USB ports work, all the LED lights work and all the fans (for the moment ;P) are working. They run quietly when the pad is on my lap or a soft service but there is a slight increase in volume when the pad is on a hard surface, like a table or desk (most likely a physics thing to do with vibration but I'm just giving the review). The mesh layer covering the fans is smooth and well designed to fit in the plastic casing. There are rubber feet on the bottom of the pad which help it grip those solid surfaces and it won't scratch glass (don't sue me if you get a dodgy one that does). The plastic 'arms' which hold the pad in the elevated position feel solid enough though and time will tell if they hold. A slight gripe about these is that I keep having to lift my laptop off the lad to adjust the height levels. I've no doubt that's just my generation of being lazy and expecting too much. Now, down the reason the review loses one star. My laptop has a smoothed curved underside. When using the lowest elevated position on my lap, my laptop does, very slowly, start to slide down the pad. Because of the smoothed curved underside, the 'wedge' as described in the product description doesn't quite catch my laptop as it's designed to. The image in the promotional photos shows a laptop with a squared off front (see photos of mine) and as mine doesn't have that design, it's a little awkward. It's not such an issue when the pad is on the lowest setting but, any higher and the laptop just slides over the wedge. IF the makers do read these reviews, I would suggest a thin rubber rim across the end of the wedge to help grip those laptops with a curved underside. Other than that one slight issues, it's great bit of kit.

Fabulous Fans
My laptop is fairly old in techy terms and as I've recently started playing World of Warcraft, I decided it was time to invest in some cooling equipment to stop it from melting onto my desk. I did buy this product along with a side-mounted "suck-out-the-hot-air" thing so I have to wear long johns when I'm using my laptop now, but hey ho. This cooling pad is really lightweight for the power it delivers, and I LOVE the fact that the grille is metal rather than plastic. I'm not sure why. I just do. It has five fans - yes, five! - all of which blow cold air upwards onto your laptops' underside (some people ask for this information - I'm not just being random). It really is COLD air as well, although I suppose in the heat of summer it may well be warmer. It has a dial to adjust the speed at which you want the fans to run, which is nice, so you can choose whether you want to cool your laptop or air-condition your house. It also has an amazing array of lights on it - constant electric blue ones that run when the fans are in operation (presumably to warn you off putting your tongue on the metal or it will get stuck - don't try it, it will, trust me) and then some really cool rainbow ones that run all the way around the edge of the cooling pad. These are operated via a touch button on the front, you can decide which pattern you want, which colour - I choose the alternating rainbow flashes cause life's too short for plain red - or you can long-press and shut them off altogether, but I had to read that in the directions because why would you want to do that you fun sponge? Buy it! Your laptop will love you forever!

Decent, but poor quality
The product itself is decent and works fairly well. However the wheel on the back of it broke and didnt work after only 5 months, so it lacks build quality and doesn't last. Edit: I've given an extra star as I reported the issue to their support and they were extremely helpful in sorting my issue.

Good product with all issues resolved - i recommend this product
-This was not originally a review sample but Tecknet reached out to me recently and offered to send me a replacement unit to see if that resolved my issue- To start this review of my original review I would like to thank you TeckNet for arranging a replacement unit in response to my original somewhat negative review as they believed I had received a faulty unit and arranged a replacement without issue and it arrived fairly fast. So my issue with the original one I received was when the tray was elevated up and my laptop was resting on it on occasion the legs that held the tray up in the elevated position one of the legs would collapse and fold in so the laptop would go fall down one side causing the laptop to slide off the tray and when you have a £1,500 laptop resting on it that is the last thing you really want to be seeing. Now the new unit that arrived came in the same packaging as the last and is covered in a bubble wrap with a USB power cable which is medium length and is not a bad quality cable. The first thing I wanted to do was to test the legs that elevate the cooler pad before placing my laptop on it for obvious reasons and this time around they actually felt more sturdy than the last one so I placed my laptop on it and sure enough, this one held the laptop up fine with no creaks or slipping. The front flap that holds the laptop in place once the pad is elevated on the original one I received was loose and did not stay up unless the laptop was there to hold it in place and eventually broke off so I tested this out and this one seems much stronger and does not feel like it would fall off I have tested this out and it feels much better than the original so I now have no worries about it damaging me hp omen laptop with scratches should it slip. The rubber feet on the bottom of the pad now also do not slip or move as much as the original one did either which is plus for when I have it on my desk. There are 6 fans included in this and they give out some pretty decent air flow for keeping my hp omen laptop nice and cool during some intense gaming sessions but I also use it as a mini desk for when I am working in bed because it keeps the laptop nice and still for typing. The fans have a nice blue LED colour to them as well which is pretty cool as I can match the RGB keyboard colours and it looks like a cool combo. This also has a second USB connection which can sync to the laptop so I use it to charge my phone or my iPod at the same time. Extra USB ports are always cool to have. I also like the fact the metal mesh layer on top of the fans keeps a fair amount of dust and lint from inside the fans otherwise, my OCD would have me taking these apart every week to clean them. Overall I am happy that tecknet sent me a replacement and I am also glad that all of my original issues have been resolved and I am now happy to recommend this to people like myself who own gaming laptops that need a little extra cooling on those heavy gaming sessions but also for anyone who wants a cooler for there laptop in general. Makes a pretty good desk too for working in bed :D

Great cooling pad...Even better customer service
Nice design and quite sleek It is the perfect present for our 19yr old son who has everything And sits nicely between his xbox one and the 42 inch tv It also has 2 illuminating usb ports as well as six fans which run quite silently works best when stationary on a hard surface/table /desk to get the best out of the cooling pads three adjustable angles Also very lightweight and slim(compared to other cooling pads)so it can go anywhere your laptop goes You can also benefit from the cooling system when your on the go and have to have your laptop on your lap for long periods of time But..(There is always a but)..It is the customer service I am most impressed with, If you have any technical difficulties with this product TeckNet will respond swiftly and strive to find a solution all parties are happy with . There service is exceptional and raises my expectation from other sellers
