I’ve been colouring my roots in between full colour application for years now (over 15) and I've been using a colour pen, the same make as the colouring I buy. I saw this advertised by someone on social media, someone I trusted and who showed just how good it was and thought I would give it a go. Wow (as the name suggests!), it's amazing!! Literally, you only need a little bit and it's so easy to apply with the brush applicator that comes with it. No mess, no water involved, easy, quick and effective - stays in until the next wash. You apply it to the grey hairline, where needed and does a very good job of disguising greys and regrowth without looking heavy or chalky, and once applied it stays put throughout the day. I also appreciate that it doesn’t leave residue on pillows or transfer easily onto hands. It’s especially useful for quick touch-ups before meetings or going out, and I’ve found it effective for filling in sparse areas around the temples as well as covering roots. The finish looks matte and natural rather than overly pigmented or shiny. Overall, this feels like a high-quality, professional product that delivers on its claims and is ideal for maintaining colour between appointments.

This is a review for the medium brown product. The product works very well to cover my greys, looks flawless if I do it carefully, although does make your hair a little powdery textured. Excellent for me to extend amount of time between dying my hair. Lasts between washes but it is effectively make up for your hair so of course it comes out when you wash your hair, so just reapply afterwards. Lasts a long time for me, 6 months plus. It doesn't transfer onto bed clothes. Downsides are the price is extortionate for a tiny block of product, and don't drop it or knock it as it shatters the product and then it isn't usable, which at the price it is is a big shame! 4 stars only from me because of the downsides, but it does what it says for brown hair. I think the blonde ones wouldn't work.

This is by far the best root touch up product out there. I've been using this for over a year now and wouldn't use anything else or be without it.. You can put the product exactly where it is needed, unlike other root touch ups this does not dull hair or leave sticky residue.. It looks completely natural, blends great on roots and around face...without landing on face like the spray variety (no more unwanted dots on face or on whatever is behind you!).. Great if hair thinning too as it colours the scalp and makes hair look thicker.. And it lasts forever so works out cheaper.. Much better for the environment too! I recommend this to all my friends who require root touch up! 😁

Best cover up Available

I have auburn hair and this is too dark - it’s like a dull, dark grey / brown. Too expensive as I need to apply it daily or more. Had high hopes as hair dresser had recommended this product and colour but disappointed. At 57, I haven’t needed to dye my hair yet and had hoped this would be helpful for the signs of grey now around my ears but it is just too dull and dark.

An excellent product for root coverage between colour applications. So simple to use and doesn't rub off onto bedclothes etc. Pricey, but worth the outlay if you need perfect face-framing and root coverage.

I've been using Color Wow to cover gray roots between salon visits as well as filling in sparseness where I could see my pink scalp peeking through at the top/front. It works great for me. I use the Medium Brown color and I think (I hope) it's natural looking and undetectable. I wouldn't say it gives complete coverage to solid gray hair but if you are like me, maybe a mix of some percentage of brown and gray hair, it does a pretty good job of covering. I try to avoid getting it into the part itself. I think it looks more natural to "paint" in strokes going away from the part to cover the hair, rather than wildly spreading it all over the part. Also, try to use a light hand when doing your hairline at your forehead. You don't want a sharp, obvious, unnatural line of demarcation. If you use too much you can wipe away and soften/blur the line with a tissue. A little goes a long way. Don’t feel like you need to keep reapplying it to the brush. Use sparingly. It lasts all day, even multiple days if you aren't washing your hair. It may rub off on your pillow case depending on how much you use and how you sleep (stomach, side or back). I really don't notice it on my pillow case except for once in a while, so I can't say it never happens. One compact lasts a long time for me, like a 2-3 years. It just depends how much and how often you use. I only need to use it a couple days a week. This Root Cover Up in Medium Brown is my absolute go-to for covering roots. It blends seamlessly with my hair color and looks completely natural - no harsh lines or obvious patches. El producto cumple realmente con su función, cubre bien las canas y muy discreto, parece natural. Eso sí, hay que renovar la aplicación todos los días porque desaparece de un día para otro, incluso sin lavar el pelo pero con poca cantidad es suficiente. Me ahorra dinero porque no tengo que teñirme tan a menudo
