I’ve been using this mat daily for two weeks, and overall, it’s a great product. It came well-packaged, had no chemical smell, and rolled out flat immediately—no annoying curling or settling time. ✔️ Cushioning & Stability: The 8mm thickness hits a nice balance. It’s soft enough to be easy on the joints (especially my knees) but firm enough that I don’t feel like I’m sinking or losing stability. I’ve used it for HIIT, pushups, yoga, and stretching, and it holds up well across different workouts. ✔️ Grip & Non-Slip: This thing does not move. I use it on laminate flooring, and even during high-intensity workouts, there’s zero slipping or bunching. The surface works well whether I’m barefoot, in socks, or wearing shoes. One side is designed to grip the floor, and the other for workouts. Both do their job well. ✔️ Size & Portability: The 6’ x 4’ size gives plenty of space to move without stepping off. It’s especially useful for VR fitness since it sets a clear tactile boundary for movement. Rolling it up is easy, and the storage bag is actually big enough to fit the mat without a struggle. ⛔ The Straps Could Be Better: My only complaint is the included straps. One arrived broken, and they feel flimsy and awkward to use. I ended up replacing them with Aolamegs 20x2 Elastic Yoga Mat Straps, which work much better. FINAL THOUGHTS For the price, it’s a solid mat—comfortable, durable, and great for joint support. If you need a large workout mat with good grip and cushioning, this is a great option. Just be prepared to swap out the straps if you plan on storing it regularly.

This mat is amazing!!! I'm never going back to a regular sized yoga mat. So my shopping mission began when I wanted to get something for myself and my 9 month old baby to play on. Something that could be multipurpose for yoga, gym exercises and also playing, learning to crawl, walking and toddling on. I originally was going to purchase those foam tiles that click together but I really wanted something that could be quickly/easily stowed as I live in a 1BR apartment. First I noticed the price. The regular sized mats from Lululemon a popular yoga brand are $60. So I was comfortable spending an extra $40 to get an even bigger sized mat that was thicker. I think it is a slightly premium price for a mat, but after using this product I can vouch that it is indeed a premium product and I feel that the value is worth it. Next, space. W O W. I have so much room to move around! I can practice yoga while my baby plays and when she is trying to crawl up my legs while I'm stretching I can just rotate 90 degrees and continue my practice. It is unreal! I have some foam rollers and I can just sprawl on them and roll around all over and not worry about laying on the floor because I'm always cushioned by it's luxurious foam. It is the best! Comfort. I've used a lot of mats and I tend to go for a lighter weight thinner mat, and it's been years since I've used a thicker mat, but I really love it. This mat is thick and luxurious. Almost like memory foam, you kind of sink into it and it feels really good. Sticks to the floor. This mat stays under your feet and isn't moving. It's got a special side that you put down on the floor and its like magic it just stays put. This has been awesome for my baby as she learns to pull up on things and walk, I feel relieved knowing that it's not going anywhere while she puts her weight on it. Super easy to store. Takes seconds to clean and roll up. The towel it comes with is super handy too. I just put it behind my couch when I have company or I need it out of the way. Rolls up very easily and isn't too heavy. Colour. Black is really nice and the gorilla emblem on it is a nice touch. Easy to take pictures on. I haven't tested it outside yet, but look forward to taking it on some adventures!! This mat is easily the best purchase under $100 that I've made in a very long time. Buy it!! This oversized, ultra-cushy Gorilla Mat is my stretch + strength sanctuary—perfect for barefoot Peloton sessions without slipping or sliding. Very durable, obviously ease of use and just all around the best mat. It also came with a wonderfully soft sweat towel and velcro ties to keep everything tidy.

My kettlebell trainer recommended this mat. It’s more expensive but it’s so nice, I’m glad I took her advice. Provides the perfect amount of cushion, rolls out and back up easily. Love it!

The mat came quickly and was easy to set up. There was a minimal smell to it when it was first opened but it went away the next day. I have used this 5-6 times per week and I have started to notice that the "nubs" are being torn off when I exercise. It is creating a hole in the mat that leaves rubber all over the place. I will add a photo for reference, but other than that it has been a goo dmat.

This is by far the best mat I have ever purchased!!! 1st it was packed nicely, even came w a nice gorilla sweat towel as a gift for my purchase (was not expecting that so it was nice). came on time and for the price you cant beat this. size is perfect and this mat is beyond amazing. its durable, stays in place, doesn't fold up or get in your way. has great traction and is soft like but sturdy enough for any workout...I lift weights on it, place heavy weights on it and the indentions of the weight on the mat disappear when you take them off. if your looking for a mat, please purchase this gorilla. I've used a lot of others (usually dont hold up like this one) as I'm a personal Trainer and I train all my clients on this mat and its holds up to its name...I was NOT given anything free for my review this is all true, and in fact I don't leave reviews often at all but this mat makes me so dang happy I had to leave a one, a good one too bc I want others to know this mat is legit. thanks to the seller for selling such an amazing product at an affordable price!!!

Absolutely love this map. Worth every penny. Had it for 2 years now and there's been literally no tears or micro tears whatsoever. Doesn't smell, easy to clean, and its super thick. Couldn't stand the restrictive feeling of the "StAnDarD" narrow yoga mats because it doesn't allow you to flow freely like we're made to since it distracts and confines your movement to one skinny plane whilst this mat lets you move 360 degrees as far as you want so you can really get in a flow state and see real benefits. Def a recommend

Extremely disappointed in the severe decrease in quality of material coupled with an increased price. I bought the same thickness/size/etc of Gorilla Mats 4 or so years ago and still have them ($100 each at that time). Those were sturdy and supportive to use on carpet. These new ones are cheap, flimsy material. I had just bought $50 mats (a different brand) previously, that were exactly like this material and returned them immediately. I can’t believe these $150 new Gorilla Mats are such a downgrade from the old ones. Extremely disappointed that this is how companies operate now. They start off with great quality + fair price, then over time reduce the quality and increase the price.
