Although it is quite straight forward to make I found the fruit (already soaked in spices & alcohol) to be rather dry. Cake turned out & people loved it.

Cake went down well
I made this cake for a friend, who has been raving about it. It ended up costing a small fortune by the time I paid for little critters to decorate the top, a frill to go round the edge and the rum which it definitely needed to make it into a proper Christmas cake.Next year I think I'll buy one ready made for a tenner ...

EASY TO MAKE.
Had to contact supplier because i assumed cooking instructions would be inside the box.A response within 10 mins. Instructions printed on outside of box(silly me doh)All main ingredients in the box.Saved me from buying all the ingredients whichbi wont use.Not sure how i will get on rolling marzipan seems very hard.Hope it tastes as nice as it smelt when in the oven.

Super expensive
Not value for money, can be purchased much cheaper elsewhere.I’m an experienced baker and only bought this as I was short of time however the cake was very small and quite dry.Would not recommend.
